City Marketplace [23x36]

Woah. Feels like ages since we’ve posted a map. Super glad to get back to it. We’re now all moved into our new place in Italy, and hope to be here for a few months, creating lots of maps while we're at it.

This week we’re bringing you the City Market Place. We’ve made a lot of variations for this one, each with a night version, with a grand total of 18 maps altogether! There were some suggestions for a desert variation but it really didn’t fit what we’d envisioned for this map. In case you were hoping for that, we’ve added ‘Desert Bazaar’ to the next poll.

We designed the map so it felt like more than just a market place. We wanted it to have context within the city. There's a bridge, a dock, a city wall and two parts of town, an outer rundown area and a more stately inner area.

Variations include: rain, snow, bonfire, circus, fountain, gauntlet, fishing haul, ghost ship, sorcery circle and gallows. See the lineup below!

Our hope is that you'll be able to use this as a hub for one of your campaigns and keep bringing your party back while different events are taking place.

What's next? The labyrinth map is 90% complete and we hope to release it mid-next week. The tokens are on their way too but the new map was a priority. As we’ve got a bit of a backlog with our boss maps (goals) we’ve spaced the next two out a bit so we can catch up. If our Patreon continues to grow we'll be adding more goals later.

We’ve also added two new tiers of $10 and $20. Right now these don’t offer anything extra above the $5 tier but are there by request for Patrons who’d like to give more support. Although we may add some benefits to these in future, for example: a physical map pack, the ability to choose the target for the next boss maps and a personalized campaign map.

We’re also going to change the schedule a little so that after the maps are posted on Sunday the poll will go up straight away and last until Tuesday mid-day. That’ll give us an extra day to work on the maps but still leave three days of voting. So be on the lookout for the next poll, it’ll be posted in about 5 minutes!
