Cleanup for heptoxide video!

Hey guys, here is the cleanup portion for the video.

Also, can you guys think of any good title for the main video? I cant think of anything that would be enticing, without being annoying clickbait.

Cleanup for heptoxide video!

The good would be the first video with the pretty mushroom cloud. :)

ha, its mostly just bad and ugly though. Not much good

Nile Red

I actually really like that idea!

Title suggestion: "Mn2O7: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"

Post reaction action

Perhaps a title playing on my favourite quote of the video (that perhaps is a little too relatable) “it really doesn’t want to exist” 🤷‍♀️

If everything is converted to MnO2 you can use it for a thermite reaction. That would be the most straightforward way.

I always have an issue with wastes from metals and other stuff. Vanadium salts, Magnase salts, metals but where would I go to get rid of Uranium ore? I thought NRC but there must be a place to deal with 30 g of Ore. I have buckets of gold waste waiting for the eco center in Gatineau.

Hmm, that very cool Red Nile.

It's fascinating to me that this is fascinating to me. I really am drawn to this waste cleanup stuff! Thank you!

"Dealing with the Manganese Heptoxide aftermath" may be a good title, if a bit long.

I think one of my favorite parts of your work is how you deal with waste. Thank you for covering it.

I agree!

Nile Red

It never occurred to me. There might be a way though. However, the amount of manganese i imagine would be super small.

Documenting the entire process from clean supplies, through the reactions, to the cleanup is important for a wide-angle view of the process. Being responsible during the cleanup after the interesting work is just as important from an education perspective. Leaving the "mess" for someone else to deal with (other than Neil over at Periodic Videos where it's his job) helps establish a culture of responsibility.

Could you extract elemental manganese from the waste?
