Revisiting Aluminum/mercury

This is technically the first Patreon post of the month! I didnt post the iodine one because i was super behind schedule. I was going to post it (and not charge because there was an ad), but I was contracted to post it the day I finished it.

Anyway, in this video, I've decided to revisit the mercury/aluminum stuff. There were a bunch of questions that I was interested in trying out.

This video actually took forever because I had to re-do so many timelapses. It's the last time that I will be doing the aluminum amalgam though. Let me know what you guys think.

What other amalgams would you like to see? I already plan to make dental amalgam and sodium.

Also, let me know if I missed your name at the end of the video and I will fix it before public release!!

Hey, I dont remember what your original question was. Also, you should send me a message and we can talk easier. I am not always notified when a comment is left.

It is a bit of a pain to find video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ratR1ngcWss&t=23s On the patreon page. I have search for october 2015. There is no october 2015.

Thanks man. Really appreciate it!

Super cool. Thanks for the early release

Very awesome. Looks good on my end.

yeah could easily end in a very big boom im not done properly hehe. thx for the reply.

Im honestly not sure. The amount of gallium would have to be kept low.

Nile Red

I was thinking about that. I think if i filled it with oxygen it would go faster. I will leave that for someone else to try though :)

Nile Red

I get that...but know that your work is appreciated!

If you add gallium to the aluminum and weaken it will it still do this mercury trick?

is it possible to add an oxidizer to make it grow faster? or maybe a oxygen enriched environment?

Ha, i got sick of them though. Spending days working with it and editing, lol.

Nile Red

Man, those do not get old. I wonder why so many people wanted to see it under vacuum though, but the band effect was cool and not at all what I expected to see. Cheers!
