Patreon Update: Where Things Stand

I have not been in the right headspace to write special-interest stories for public release. I continue to write privately to refine my process, but publishing new work here has not been possible.
The last story I shared was on May 31. It used the Sudowrite process I’ve been developing and reflected the style I would be using going forward. It had the usual number of views and some likes, but no comments. When releases are met with silence, I find it very difficult to keep writing.
My creative focus has shifted toward other projects, which I share elsewhere. These projects matter to me greatly, but they also receive very little interaction. As a result, most of my work feels like it only exists for me, without much reason to go through the extra rigor of editing and preparing special-interest stories for others.
Patrons here have shown generosity through financial support, and I am grateful for that. What I miss is the sense of connection — the feeling that people are waiting to see what comes next. Without that, I do not have the energy to create special-interest stories for release.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me in the past, and to those who have remained during this pause. I wanted you to know where I stand rather than leave this page in silence. I do intend to return if and when my motivation changes.
