Important Updates - Future of the Games & New Tiers

Hi crew! There's a lot to talk about regarding future Tapes and some changes coming to Patreon. I've separated this into sections to make it easier!

• The itch.io Situation

Ever since itch.io had issues with payment providers, most of my games can't be purchased by card anymore, only paypal works. I've received tons of messages from people who can't access the games this way.

I've tried contacting itch.io support multiple times with no response. So here's the solution: games will now also be sold here on Patreon for those who can't use itch.io. Patreon's fees are higher, so prices will adjust slightly to cover that. Games will still be available on itch.io as well.

• Translation is Finally Happening:

I've lost count of how many translation requests I've gotten this and the past year. It killed me to say no, but manually replacing every line of text in all my games while making new ones just wasn't possible.

Until now! I bought a plugin that makes translation manageable. I'm recruiting translators soon. I'll share a Google form when it's ready. Any help getting these stories to more people is hugely appreciated! ❤️

• New Title Screen Features:

I've been working on a new title screen, which will include new features, like a PWP Basin (gallery), Tape Catalog (past tapes), The Codex (boat lore). It might be ready by the end of the month. If not, it'll be ready next year for sure!

• Changes to How We Choose Characters:

This year I loved exploring new fandoms with you all. I'm proud of what we made! But I've also realized voting sometimes cost us time-sensitive opportunities. Like losing the hype of newly released characters or releases. Sometimes I also get the itch to make something or get obsessed with a character (cough Jinu cough Mydei cough), and I don't want to let the inspiration drip between my fingers. It might never come back 🥲

So here's what's changing: Voting might not happen every month anymore. Some months I'll choose the characters myself based on things like new releases, what I'm inspired by, or which fandoms are getting more support through sales.

When voting does happen, you'll help pick the characters! And either way, you'll still shape the content through surveys, by telling me what you liked, what you want to see, etc.

• New Tier Structure (Effective January 2026)

Since voting won't be the main benefit anymore, I've redesigned the tiers around things that make your experience better without crushing me with extra work. (Shout out to the Navigators who stuck with the tier even when choices were scarce, thank you so so much 🥹❤️)

Here's what's coming:

Tier 1: Initiated Buccaneer ($5)

• Early game release (months before it goes public)

Tier 2: Blessed Navigator ($10)

• Everything in Tier 1

• Participate in polls when they happen

• Cheat codes/passwords for game builds*

  (*The cheat codes will be part of the new Title Screen. With them you'll be able to skip the story and go straight to the smut scene!)

Tier 3: Elite Corsair ($20)

• Everything in Tiers 1 & 2

• High-res version of smut scene in mp4

That's it for now! I'm thinking of doing one last poll this year before we start with the new system.
