Here are the latest elements for the "Cartoon Car Wash".
I did the linework last week, so it was only colors today.
I also decided to redo "Steelhart" from "Silverhawks".
The reason is a little complicated. There was nothing wrong with the first version. As you can see here in a print screen I took while working on it back than ( I can't remember why I took it, but it's lucky I did ), It was basically a copy of some other art piece I found on the net as a reference. I didn't trace it. I didn't want to recreate it per say. It simply that I knew what I wanted for the character (flying over the crowd) and while looking for reference pictures, I stumbled onto that one and it was simply too perfect of a pose, I couldn't think of something else.
Anyway, during a fit of insomnia earlier this week, my mind went back to the time I drew the "Comic Con" piece and got some flack from someone accusing me of stealing art because he had seen the little mermaid/Ursula pose before. What the guy didn't know was that the original piece was also one of mine. Since the "Comic Con" piece was a celebration of my "career" at the time, I had recreated/integrated a few of my past work into it as easter eggs.
Thinking of that moment brought me back to "Steelhart" and how I didn't have this excuse right now. I basically had swiped someone else's work, and I wasn't comfortable with this realization. So I decided to redo it. The new version is still similar of course. It's the same character flying over the same crowd, and needed to fit in the same space as the first version. But I made sure to not simply redo the same pose this time around. I also took the occasion to fix a few mistakes and tried to make the pose a little bit more fluid.
So that's it.
Hope you all dig it!

Apologies: As I'm writhing this, I decided to do a quick search to give the artist their credit back. https://www.behance.net/LiberumDonum
I'm sorry, my intention wasn't to steal your work, or claim it as my own, but what I did was definitely more than simply referencing the pose, and regardless of my intentions, the result was a swipe plain and simple... And that wasn't cool on my part.

ps: It's my first time on their actual page, and their work is amazing!
