The last Weekly Update of 2024 ?!?

Yeap... 1 week until the holiday break.

How are you doing my beautiful people?
I'm great. A little tired this morning, but nothing a coffee won't fix.

I'm pretty happy with last week's performance. I achieved all my goals. The red Sonja pic turned out gorgeous. I'm also delighted with my Christmas card this year, and I managed to add a few more element to the Car Wash.

I don't know if you realized that, but I rarely take a weekend off. I tend to be a little lighter on the workload on theses days, but I rarely take more than a day off (usually on Saturday). That said, the Saturdays are often used to complete whatever I didn't manage to do on Friday ( see the cartoon carwash elements this week ) and on Sunday I do the research and try to sketch the week's commission, so that I don't loses a day in preparations...

As you might imagine, I'm REALLY looking forward for 2 whole weeks of nothing ^^. My plan is to play "Baldur Gate" ( I tried last summer. I was only starting to understand the commands and enjoy it when I got killed in a battle I wasn't ready for and the last save point was too far away... I got discouraged ) and a deep cleaning of my apartment. There's a good chance that this game isn't for me, but I'll give it another shot none the less.

Meanwhile, there's still a week to get through. And honestly, I'm not entirely sure how to attack this one.

Yesterday, I didn't do the prep for the commission and drew sone new elements for the carwash instead.

I am teasingly close to completion on this one. I realized yesterday that if I was working full time on this, I could probably finish it in two weeks or so. And it is damn tempting to do just that to hopefully release it before the end of 2024. That would mean cutting the holiday off, and as I mentioned before, I do need that break, so I won't be doing this. But the temptation is there none the less.

Reasonably, I should just move as unusual and start with the commission. That would be the safer way to do it. I also think it wouldn't be fair to push everyone on the list 3 weeks further just before I have something else in mind. But the temptation is there none the less.

Damn tempting...

So, today, I'll start the prep on the commission, and if I can, I'll start coloring the new elements. (the 4 characters I didn't do last week, and another 8 I drew in yesterday)... And we'll see how the week goes from there.

But it's good to know that I'll finally complete that giant project at the start of 2025. I am so happy with this one. This is such a fun project. I made a special effort to keep a structure on the composition on this one and it show. It is less of a mess than "the girls of Sci-fi" or the "Halloween" orgies were. And while I still love the "X-men pool party", the overall composition isn't as tight as it could be. But this one is more in line with the "comicon" piece, even if I don't have a center piece in this one. And I'm really excited to give you all the final version soon.

The temptation is real ^^
