If you've ever asked yourself why I always start with the background, I could give you two reasons.
First, the background set the mood and it's colors and lights are critical for the character rendering... But the real reason is this: it would be too tempting to cut corners and half ass the background element since drawing the character is where my enjoyment lies.
Not that I wasn't tempted to cut corner by the end here. I did a quick calculation and I estimate to around 70-75 hours of work went into this one!
So I really hope you guys dig it ^^
