Weekly Update
Added 2023-04-17 21:05:01 +0000 UTCHow are you doing my beautiful people?
I had a great week if even if I don't have a lot to show for.
Production wise, after completing the latest commission, I hit a small slug and despite me trying all day, I couldn't come up with anything good. Taika Waititi once said something like: "Being a writer means that, sometime, you'll sit in front of your computer, fixing the white screen for 8 hours before finally turn it off feeling sad about yourself... and it still count as writing". Yes. That's my life.
I finally managed to shake it of on Friday, worked on the colors yesterday and should complete it in a few hours, so, look for that in your inbox later today ^^
The show I went with my mother on Thursday was, incredibly good... and even better was the Peruvian restaurant we went to before. Costly, but damn!!!!
The D&D session was sadly cancelled last minute because two of the players couldn't make it, but we have a new date and I'm looking forward to it next week.
What put me in such a good mood though has nothing to do with any of it. With the heat wave we got last week, I started walking outside again. I have a treadmills at home but it's SOOO boring, I barely use it.
Long story short: I suffer from a back injury that developed after injuring both my ankles 5 years ago while dancing. Gained a lot of weight and my back didn't take it well. Last summer, I started to take short walk outside hoping to be able to get over the pain and hopefully go see my friends more often... and, maybe, enjoy some social dancing once in a while.
Anyways. Not only did I manage to get back to the level I was at the end of the summer, I'm walking 2 or 3 time the distance I was covering before having to sit down to rest my back, take a short break and walking back home. The poses needed are also a lot shorter. Last week, I did it every day, 3 times a day, so I'm pretty happy with myself on that regard.
This week:
More of the same really. I'll try to cover 2 commissions. That list is in the way of the next SW chapter. I would like to clear it as soon as possible.
See you guys soon!

Also, I might have mentioned it before but I bought my girlfriend one of these https://www.spinalbackrack.com/ a few years ago and it really worked well for her 20 year old ongoing back injury. I've recommended to a few others since and they've also done welll with it. PS I'm not on commission!

I went from being a pretty fit martial artist to struggling to move around and inevitably put on some weight. I'm still undoing the damage/recovering years later.
