But I think it was worth it.
So... Monday, I ended up not doing my taxes and went to watch "The way of Water" instead. I liked it overall but couldn't get over 3 things that bugged me.
- 1- Neytiri, who was a badass warrior princess in the first movie somehow became a housewife and let Jake walk all over her. "I apologise for my mate" ?!?!? She should have castrate him right there.
- 2- Subtitlings the Tulkuns. Seriously?
- 3- NOBODY cared for Spider... not really. And the poor guy went above and beyond for the family. Kiri missed him while he was gone, but nobody went looking for him. This is what triggered this picture. Neytiri especially needed to make it up to him.

also: James Cameron, who at one time was to direct a Spider-Man movie called one of his character: Spider aka Miles. This can't be a coincidence.

I definitely agree with number 3 Spider, it was strange for them to give him a training montage with his "father" just for him to be discarded by both of his found families. I kind of felt that, if this was how they were going to treat him they should have had him die saving Neytiri, Kiri or Tuk, instead of his having Neteyam because of the "older brother trope".

2023-02-17 00:20:44 +0000 UTChahaha. I had to run to the bathroom just after the hunt. So I don't even know why the human wanted the TALKING ( I can't get over that ) whales so badly. The last thing I saw was them getting inside the mouth of the dead whale talking about brains than came back 3 min later and was back with the Na'vis.

2023-02-16 21:15:20 +0000 UTCYea Neytiri getting sidelined was the most annoying thing for me. She was not even shown trying to adapt to the water tribe, just forgotten. Does not make up for it but I did enjoy her going rambo at the end.
