here the faces i did for this cancelled project, i never understood what the client wanted so i guess i'm not good doing designs
some of these faces are based on other characters the client shared but with a different style and different aproach
idk how design exactly works but what i do is brainstorming ideas till we have a more developed one in our mind and then i start doodling some faces and start working on those, like, no, this hair doesn't work, add hair like this or maybe fuse this and this, or change the eyes. nose mouth etc, all this in a frontal view then once we have it i start working on the other sides then if something needs to be refined i do it so
once the design is ok to go with frontal, side and back views, we start working on several angles and expressions, and again if something needs to be refined we do it
but with this project i received a compilation of faces to draw them exactly as the design and angle they were and thats complicated as hell because there is no initial idea to work with so how i am desining here?
if you are designing at least we need to have a clear idea what we are aiming for, in that way i actually can start drawing but if we don't have a clear idea we will be doing hundreds and hundreds of faces till you like something
