Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

I'm pretty happy with last week's turnout. That second pic took a lot of time, but it was definitely worth it.

I had a thing planed last Friday (great sushi restaurant and an interesting time at the theatre afterward), so I'm now well rested and ready for more.

On a positive note, I will be taking my vacation at the end of August after all! Turns out My mom and her boyfriend will be taking his truck for their road trip and will leave the car with me. Time for detailed planning I guess!

On a bit of a downer note, the finance ministry is on my case. Nothing major, I don't owe them anything. But I learned last week that, since I'm working for myself, I should have sent whatever I will have to pay for 2022 upfront. That is news to me. I always paid everything once my tax reports where done in July. They had mentioned something about provisional deposits in their last letter, but I was under the impression that it was a voluntary thing. Apparently not. And of course, they are only giving me a month to pay half of my yearly taxes.

I'll admit, I panicked a little. But I remember that I have some money in a placement not really doing anything. So I'll be able to pay them. And with a bit of budgeting, I will be able to pay for the remaining of the year in December. So it's all good. It's just more pressure I didn't need.

Unrelated stuff:

THE SANDMAN IS OUT!!! It is so gay and it is amazing. I ADORED it. I can smell sweet of the slashers from here. You will see a lot of Desire / Dream out there for sure. Even I got a bit of a rise from that idea.

Johanna Constantine is slightly disappointing but only because of the inevitable comparison with Matt Ryan (who is the definitive personification in my mind). It doesn't hurt that she's plays by the incredibly gorgeous Jenna Coleman (whom I adored as Clara Oswald ). Overall, she's doing a pretty fine job for a softer version of the character.

The only thing I didn't like where the two child actors and I can't wait for the time where we will use CGI to replace these vile creatures :P ( that's a joke. I don't really hate children, but I can't stand most child acting)

Also, watch PREY. It is the best predator sequel by far. It's super fun and tense. I didn't know Amber Midthunder but call me impressed! Although if your a french speaker, listening to the OVA, your ears might bleed a little. There's a bunch of French-Canadians fur hunters and their performance is all over the place from good french to unintelligible gargling. I laughed my ass off.
