Art advice

Never do in the sketch phase the error to detail everything right away, like starting face then chest them arms, that will lead to 2 things
1 will have lot of errors in proportion and pose
2 your eye will get too used to it that you won't spot errors and you'll get tired drawing

Is better to do a rough doodle with good proportions several times then when is good you can start adding details
That's why sometimes you find art with lot of detail but really bad anatomy and proportions

Thanks for the advice, since I'm used to drawing traditional I had the bad habit of doing everything in one go

Mine is a custom PC with a 22" Samsung monitor. For drawing, I use a small Wacom Intuos (CTL4100).

Your post is so relatable. Thanks for the tip! I just started drawing a couple of days ago. It's hard but it's fun. I'm currently using a Wacom Intuos; I'm still getting use to the disconnect between the eyes and my drawing hand. If I see my self get better I'll try to invest on a touch screen. May I ask what your setup for drawing is?

Naj

That's good advice, I never thought about it like that.
