How are you doing my beautiful people?
It is cold as fuck around here. I live on the basement floor of my building, and I can literally feel the cold radiating from the floor of my apartment. Last year, one on my kitchen window simply cracked from the cold while I was cooking. But this is Quebec for you... Damn, February’s going to be a nightmare.
Despite all of it, I had a nice relaxing two weeks. Didn’t read as much as I planed (never finished the first book on the list) but watched a lot of series that where on my list. Would have gone to the theater too if not for the fact that everything is closed around here. I still didn’t get the chance to see “No way home” so navigating the web and avoiding spoilers as been perilous ever since Christmas. :P I have access to a bootlegged copy of it but I took a quick look, realized how bad the quality was and pledge to wait for a legal way to watch it online, which, apparently Disney decided that there would be none.
I was hoping to come back full of ideas for you, but on that department, I’m still running dry. I’m starting to ask myself it I told everything I wanted to say in this work. Or if maybe I need to work on one single project for a while instead of trying to find small new ideas all the time. It’s weird. You’d think I would just have to choose a character or two and draw them nacked :P
But for the moment, life as decided for me. We lost one of my absolute favorite comic artist yesterday. One of the most influential of his generation: Jean-Claude Mézières, so I’m working on a small tribute as I do best, drawing his character Laureline.

Yeah, I had zero interests in it, but had nothing better to do. Turns out, it's written and directed by James Gunn, and it's easily the best thing DC ever put out outside on the latest "Suicide Squad" and the original "Batman animated series."

2022-01-25 08:33:44 +0000 UTCThere's a new copy posted a few days ago that has a decent image. Hollow audio as usual, but watchable. Look for 'no way home v3 new source'. I won't spoil the movie, but I thought it was disappointing. Plenty of fan service, but a certain character is so completely mis-written it made the whole thing just not make any sense to me. And if you're looking for inspiration, feel free to pick one of my stories to illustrate... ;-)

Je m'y suis remis vers 15-17 ans avec quelques classiques, et n'ai vraiment lu la série entière qu'a l'âge adulte. Mais on ne peut nier son influence dans la sci-fi en général. On en retrouve les traces autant sur Star Wars, Blade Runner que le 5e Éléments (pour lequel il était designer).

Y'en avait pas des mon CDI (premiere source de decouverte de bd pour une chier de gens de ma generation X) ) Je sais que mon pere m'avait dit que c'etait bien, alors j'avais recup une bd ou deux dans ma bibliotheque de quartier, mais a 10 ans c'etait un brin ardu a suivre pour moi.
