"Nightmare on Elmstreet" is one of the few horror series that I really like, probably because dreaming as always been one of my favorite thing in life. I especially like part 1,3 and West Craven's New Nightmare that is WAY underrated in my opinion. As for "Dream Worriors", I still apply what I learned watching it when I have a nightmare and turn it into an action pack dream instead. I never bothered with the reboot.

Hope you guys dig it!

Same here, used to realise quite often I was asleep and then…. Game on!. But not so much these days. Apparently you can (re)train yourself to Lucid dream- need to look into that sometime. Always enjoyed flying when Lucid dreaming and…. other obvious stuff LOL!

I ADORE it, or use to anyway.. haven't watched it in years. It managed to both, change the whole premise as well as stick to the formula to the letter. but that was also clearly a last ditch effort to save a diying franchise. I doubt that the "real world" approach would have worked more than once.

I use to be a very lucid dreamer... with a crazy amount of control. I was an absolute god when I wanted too. I remember materializing a castle out of thin air, and than building the world around it just because I wanted to see a dragon once. But that is not a normal state, my subconscient fought against it and found it way to protect itself. Nowaday I can still realize that I'm dreaming and can change the course of a dream when I'm scared or something. I call "call in" some allies if I need to, But that's about it.

Cool. Sounds like you are a Lucid dreamer ?

The reboot isn't awful, but it could have been much better. Had they stuck with the idea of him not actually guilty of his crimes when the parents killed him would have allowed for something different and distinct, but then they bitched out and did the "oh, he did do it" approach and ruined that potential.

I still want to see West Craven's New Nightmare. I feel like in general there has been a shift how people feel about that film. Very excited to watch it at some point.
