There was a few before her, but she basically showed the whole European comic insdutry that there was a market for such titles. And her creator, Roger Leloup, is still going strong after 50 years. The last issue came out in 2019. It might have taken me a little while to really get into this franchise "for girls" but Khany and her blue skin quickly field some of my teenages dreams.
