Weekly Update

How are you doing boys and girls? I hope you are doing well.

I… not so much.

But don’t worry too much for me.  Health wise, I am good. It’s just... everything else that sucks. ( WARNING the next few paragraphs is just me ranting. Scroll down until you see bold text if you just want the news :P)

1rst:  My father is leaving his home today to go in palliative care. This is the final streatch. He is not dying yet. But it’s happening. We only have a few months remaining. I‘ve seen the place he’s going to ( from the outside ). It is an amazing center, big and beautiful, but due to covid everything is shut down and he will be restricted to his room. Visits will be possible but limited. But I’ll probably go see him once or twice a week which might slow things down a bit around here. I hope you guys can understand the situation. It’s not ideal for anyone.

Speaking of covid, I use to work in hospitals. As a result, I know a fair amount of nurses and orderly. All of them are exhausted. If you are one that have doubt about the pandemic, I suggest you talk to a nurse, ask them how they are doing and really listen to them. Anyway, I did ( not for doubting the situation :P ), I talked to a few of them… I won’t go into details, I am NOT an expert and I don’t want to despair anyone but my understanding of the situation is; this thing is not going away.  Stay home, stay safe and hope to god for an effective treatment, because this is the new normal.

Last thing that suck; I moved in into this place a little more than a year ago now. I love my apartment and I liked the people living in my block. Everyone is really friendly.

My next door neighbor is another nurse, I’ve known for a few years, she helped me found this place. She is super nice. Well… she got Covid a few months back, as one would expect if she worked in the system… well I just learned last night that the rest of the complex tried to throw her out of her apartment while it was happening!!! THE FUCK! I am livid. This is probably the most disgusting thing one could do. I am the new guy around here, and I’m a bit of a shut-in, so I don’t really have a report with them. Bet HER, that is another matter. She’s one of the oldest tenants around here, she considered them friends, they use to do collective dinner together in the backyard, and they turned on her just like that. What a bunch of fucking rats. If you can’t tell, I AM PIST! I understand being afraid. But it’s no reason to be a piece of shit to someone in a time of crisis like that. Disgusting.

AAAANYWAYS… sorry about the rant this morning guys, I just had to take it off my chess :P

This week will be all about the new comic. 

I’ve started work on the layout, but I’m struggling a bit with it, so I’ll need a few days, basically, I’ve had this thing in my head for so long that I have a few version of it, and even with a script, I have a bit of a hard time assembling the pieces.

I also started the work on the first page ( it’s a simple splash page, that barely have anything to do with the main narrative ), but looking at it I realized that the background I did for it is not the right mood for what I’m trying to convey. So back to square one with it :P

I hope to be able to give you something by Wednesday
