If they wanted to show he was definitely dead they should have just left it there. Yes the blood trail calls back the previous cliff jump but also signifies he didn’t die from the giant hole in his guts. To me they were leaving themselves the option of either saying ‘yep, finally offed himself’ or ‘well who knows? We didn’t see a body’

2025-02-15 11:35:32 +0000 UTCI think the extra technical oomph of being on ps3 allowed them to make much better use of particle effects and lighting. Made it feel much more cinematic than the first 2 instalments. Nice breakdown!

2025-02-15 11:07:35 +0000 UTCI've always seen the bloodtrail off the cliff at the end to simply be a throwback to the first game (full circle), it started with him wanting to die throwing himself off a cliff, before he was "saved". At the end of 3, he finally got his wish.... Athena sure as hell wasn't stopping him now. At the time, obviously when GoW3 released In like 2010 or so, they had no plan to do a follow up game, so it was pretty black and white in regards to him being dead.

2025-02-15 05:16:54 +0000 UTCBtw just yesterday I did a marathon of watching all your GoW videos and I was already craving the third game to be soon, and you uploaded it almost inmediately, so it was a great conclusion of the marathon. Also just so you know the timeline of the next games: -Ascension would be way before the first game in the timeline of Kratos, and was released on PS3, so it released after the third game -Chains of Olympus is between Ascension and the first game, and it was the first one released on the PSP -Ghost of Sparta is between the first and second game, and was the second one relased on PSP

2025-02-15 04:22:45 +0000 UTCI think GoW 3 is the most brutal of all series, but in the games of Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta they give you more context to the relationships that Kratos has with the gods P.S: When Zeus says at the battle with Gaia "you should have picked the other one", the game Ghost of Sparta will answer who was he referring to. That with a little taste of Kratos gaining a grudge with the gods. From the 3 games left, Ghost of Sparta I think has more lore and revelations
