THE LAST OF US PART 1 (2022) | [ALL CUTSCENES - PART 2!!] | A JOURNEY'S END!

A journey's end and was it the right thing to do!?

Here is our last part covering the first game and oh my goodness. I'm not going to lie, it's making me want a PS5, even though I've got a PC that can play it, I want the full original experience... That's how powerful this game is. I can see why Sony has made remasters and remakes of this game.

The main thing I want to know is what would you do if you were in Joel's shoes?

I've heard negative stories about the second games writing but I don't want to miss out on it, if the storytelling is bad then we can still look at it and see where they went wrong so to speak. Not sure when I'm going to start The Last of Us Part II but I know it's going to be soon and I can't wait to share it with you guys.

Like always, thank you so much for hanging out with me and let's go... Play The Tape!

Kai

THE LAST OF US PART 1 (2022) | [ALL CUTSCENES - PART 2!!] | A JOURNEY'S END!

Comments

I know it's not a video game cinematic/trailer, but would be really interesting to see your reaction to the TLOU tv adaptation.

Aaron Yin

Wonderful set of videos, thanks for doing that! I think you might also enjoy Bioshock (Infinite would be my choice, I think it's visually more interesting)!

Will Sommers

Welp, now you have to do The Last of Us 2

Chad Jordan

Hello Kai! I seen a few others mention it but the DLC covers the events of Ellie and her friend Riley, you should definitely check it out before heading into Part ll 🙂

theAceJayce

While it doesn't seem to be stated in the game, the TV show stated the cause of the infection as contaminated flour. So it hit hard, fast, and wide spread virtually overnight because how often do you go a day without eating something flour based.

Khalil

Speaking of the players being subpar lets say, but also, the goofy moments where you wonder why an enemy didn't notice the player or when he's being silhouetted by bullets instead of hits, I guarantee they're playing on the easiest difficulty just to breeze through the game as fast as possible.

Chase Hill

I think it takes really big swings that don’t all land unilaterally but when they hit, it’s monumental. There may be lots to criticize about execution of plot (pacing and arguably an over-abundance of plot threads) but most of that was drowned out by the overblown backlash. That being said, awesome game that’d I’d love to see covered

Deadly Orgone Avoider

u should shut it before u spoil anything jimmy. You also got a bullet to the face. dead dont talk.

ToTo Super Game!

TLOU2 story is almost as good as this one if not better. People just dont like it bc of some of the choices they made with new and repeating characters. You should 100% check it out cuz it is a really good, breathtaking story. I'd recommend finding someone that actually knows how to play and is patient enough that they dont just rush around and make the convo between characters during gameplay look awkward lol

ToTo Super Game!

I completely understand that. Time is finite. Do what brings you joy, we will follow.

Bumblepony

Yeah, that's a good idea. It's all about time for me. The time I spend on those means I can't get the games you want covered, choices brother!

Kai Zammit

You should definitely watch the HBO series now. It would be so interesting to see your opinion on what choices they made in the show compared to the video game.

Bumblepony

I haven't looked for a video yet but I'm sure Gamer's little playground have one.

Kai Zammit

Thank you for keeping it spoiler free. I respect that!

Kai Zammit

Thank you for letting me know it exists! You got it.

Kai Zammit

Welcome to the dojo Emma and thank you! I'm glad you could find content that's a reflection of yourself. I was told I should start this channel because I was doing it for everything I watched and the family were getting annoyed! To answer your question, I will be going into TLOU Part II. Maybe not this month as I've just discovered there's some DLC I need to watch first, but straight after that, yeah! The fact you said "bravely made" has made me more interested in watching it. I've heard such a mixed bag and I'm shocked tbh.

Kai Zammit

Ellie would have consented to the surgery and Joel knew it. Either way she had no choice in the matter being not present but Dad mode kicked in and made it for her, one that was best for her, not the world.

Kai Zammit

Yeah, where he's interrogating those two guys with the map

Alita

Didn't even know about it so thank you Raul, I'll check that out mate.

Kai Zammit

Are you referring to Batman Joel? It's funny because the more I think about it post watching, I get the same vibes. Then again, David is just something else.

Kai Zammit

''we haven't had a main villain'' well, there you have him, at 1:47:00

Alita

You should definitely do Left Behind so you can have the full TLOU1 experience. Part 2 i played once and I’m eager to do another play through again soon. Everyone is right in saying all the hate is really a nonissue and it’s up to you to really appreciate the story for what it is. It is quite the ride! Loved this!

Raul

There's a false assumption I see everyone make when talking about the ending. It's not as simple of a choice as Ellie or all of humanity. Throughout the game we see tons of evidence that the Fireflies are desperate and incompetent. They can't be trusted to properly develop a cure but even if they did they can't be trusted with it. Also Joel takes the heat for taking away Ellie's choice in that moment, which he did, but no one ever talks about how the Fireflies did too! There's no reason that they couldn't wait a little while for her to wake up to consent to the surgery. The only reason is so they didn't have to face the possibility that she would say no.

Cameron

Or how about they make you play as the most despicable character throughout the game when most people couldn't care less about them?

jimmy fallonsdad

As a new member and viewer I found your channel through this series then got hooked on it. TLOU being my favourite game series (and even having the tattoo from pt2, if you know, you know). As a photographer this is also a wonderful watch to know I'm not alone in fawning over a light shaft, depth of field, camera angle etc...i showed this to my partner to give him an idea of my inner monologue in all games. I'll be so interested if you head into pt2 as well. It's such a bravely made game, narratively. I'm always in awe that ND made the game they wanted to regardless of the hate they knew they'd receive and it's themes once you have dissected the game are fantastically done in my opinion. I could write an essay...but I won't

Emma Jones

Really enjoyed this. Before moving on to The Last of us part 2 you would want to take a look at the Left behind DLC.

Johan Carette

i didnt like lou2 due to the story but i still think its a great story, and do recommend it. theres lots that i enjoyed and lots i didnt. BUT in the end, it makes you feel a lot of stuff and that is what makes it a great story. (said it this way to keep spoilers out lol)

a2nlolkid Boohoo

With Part II, they dialed it up to 11 with basically everything you have said that you enjoy about Part I. For the full effect, I would certainly suggest to go into it blind and stay away from spoilers! As for all of the negativity about Part II, there are two main camps. The first is angry gamers who didn't like the different story and just wanted a repeat of Part I. The second is people who were angry that there were strong female characters that weren't "attractive". Both sides of that are the few loud angry people online and most of them probably never finished the game, so I wouldn't listen to that. In my opinion Last of Us: Part II is one of the best stories and video games that I have every experienced. I have replayed it multiple times and it still hits just as hard as the first time I played.

Kota Vasquez

The second is an incredible story, you just need understand it which alot fail to do which is what gives it the bad rep, I admit when I first played it I was the same, when I replayed it, it opened my eyes and it clicked, I for one cannot wait for you to get stuck into part 2, also the dlc for part 1 you should do as well, it's about ellie before the story, while being in the backdrop of her finding medicine for Joel

callum millward

Before you cover the unsurprisingly controversial TLoU 2, I'm surprised no one's mentioned for you to cover the Left Behind DLC of this game which is also included in the remake. GLP made a video: https://youtu.be/hhZ0MLQAwdg

omster

Also I hope you use the same style of video as you did for part 1. All of the gameplay bits with the extra dialogue helps a ton and also gives more room to breathe and time for you to talk. It'll be a good bit longer than the first one but man is it worth it, plus that's more for us to watch and I'll never complain about that!

Joe Parks

Man I can't wait for part 2. I've got a feeling you're gonna love it

Joe Parks

The second game I think is controversial precisely because it’s such a good story. There are certainly bad faith arguments against it that mostly come from male gamers angry about there being complex (and not “conventionally attractive”) women in it. But ignoring those people, the story did take some pretty big risks that alienated some people. I personally think it’s an even better, more complex story than the first. It’s also one of my favorite games I’ve ever played, so I look forward to your reaction!

Sav Miller

>The main thing I want to know is what would you do if you were in Joel's shoes? I hope I'll never know :) But I'm definitely think the same; who cares of the broken world, save the child! :)

Mark

Please do not listen to reviews on the second part! TLOU is probably my fav game, TLOU2 is going even further. The characters building, story, world.. is so deep and well made, I'm a bit jealous that you'll experience it for the first time :)
