Hey guys! Here's a quick asset render to show how I use 3D assets in my comic.
If you guys didn't know, I absolutely HATE how 3D models can look when integrated with 2D art, so I spend quite a while rendering them to look consistent with the comic (seriously I think they're some of the ugliest things).
However, 3D assets are still a blessing since 90% of the work is already done! In this case, It only took me a few minutes to edit the original gold 3D model to this ancient, moss covered statue!
Above you can see how it fits in the panel (you'd never know right? ) XD Sometimes assets still look out of place no matter how much paintover they get but in this case I think it turned out pretty nicely! I'm a fan of these rainy/blue-green environments because Clove and the other characters tend to stand out a lot better than the usual red-orange backgrounds! ^^
