There are 6 main stats that you utilize to grow your character's strength. Strength, Speed, Agility, Focus , Willpower and Determination.
These stats are responsible for many things. The most important, perhaps, are Bai Huan's maximum Vitality and Qi Energy. By raising Strength, Speed or Agility, Bai Huan's max health will increase.
Conversely, raising Focus, Willpower or Determination will increase Bai Huan's qi energy pool, which is necessary for evasion during combat and later on it will be needed to activate combat skills.
Stats play another role as well by determining your combat power. Each stat has a complimentary stat that affects the base power of your strikes, depending on what mastery you currently have active.
Martial Technique, for example, relies on Strength and Speed.
Lastly, stats will also determine the base power of spirit weapons -- as each weapon has a type . Fury, Grace or Force.
Stats are improved by spending qi and talent points during meditation, or other means such as enlightenment rewards for certain activities. Each stat has an accompanying modifier that will affect the growth of said stat. This applies during the process of improving your stats, thus you want to raise this modifier to it's limit whenever possible to enjoy the highest amount of stat growth.
By choosing which stats you want to improve, you can build Bai Huan's strength in a way that is most desirable to you.
