0.5 Update
Added 2021-08-02 21:03:51 +0000 UTCHey folks. Sorry for the massive delay. A lot has been going on with me, but I'm happy to say that I'll be releasing 0.5 in about 3 hours.
I'll briefly recap the additions and also what took so long here:
When I first started I was what you'd consider a newb in Ren'py programming. It's much different than any other system I've used, and it has very particular quirks. When used correctly, it's a good system. But I learned a few bad habits that made things difficult starting out.
I've since started to correct those.
I also wanted to revamp the introduction to the game somewhat, as well as improve the overall polish of the project.
With that in mind, I've made a new title screen for the project, which you can view below.
As you may have noticed, there are a couple of new characters in the game since last time.
Guobei - A mysterious blue haired woman. She seems to know who Bai Huan is, however he has no idea about her.
Yenay - Mai's best friend at Golden Lotus and also her roommate.
Instructor Lin.
And of course, the princpal of the Golden Lotus.
Aside from the new characters, the game also features a bit more polish and a plethora of additions by way of story events.
The prologue will last for the entirety of Bai's time before joining the academy as Mai and Yenay endeavor to understand his powers.
During this time various things happen...
Overall, the game features over several hours of content already. By the night's end, I hope to expand the story a bit more and release this version of the game.
