Pressure wound after 3 weeks of treatment..
Added 2020-04-13 01:26:16 +0000 UTCThis is on my left butt cheek.. It’s very small now and almost healed., The quicker it closes completely the quicker I can get back to filling..
Something as small as this though ignored even now will cause major issues because of the amount the skin has been stretched and the amount of stress on it..
After I damaged the port on my right butt cheek it was really painful so I was leaning on my left and that’s how this issue came about.. It looks like no big deal now at all but when my doctor first saw it his exact words were ‘oh my God’, at which point I was terrified.. It was much much bigger..
If it didn’t heal and had gotten infected it would have been an absolute nightmare but we’re being extremely careful so I’m on another week of antibiotics..
It’s down to the size of a dime.. I can’t fill till it’s completely closed as we don’t want any extra tension/pressure on the skin..
Until it’s back to normal I’ll be laying on my front in bed, with 8 pillows 😌 I am walking around a bit more now though and next week I move into an apartment here so l’ll be doing a lot more myself.. In a month I have surgery again and the plan was facial surgery in New York after that but with that is on hold with the lockdown.. In any case I will be in the US for quite a while more xx
If you want a fright google ‘pressure wound’.. I‘ve had very good treatment and I’m young and relatively healthy so I‘ve been healing really well but it’s frightening what can happen to those whose bodies can’t/won’t heal.. As I said mine has shrunk down to almost nothing now but some people have it and it can deteriorate pretty badly..
