Update

I’m sorry I’ve not been posting, I’ve been in a lot of pain still but arrived in LA Sunday (the night before all incoming flights from the UK were banned from entering due to coronavirus).. It’s been an emotional few weeks and I did try to get the issue fixed at home but my local doctor could not do much apart from check me over and put me on antibiotics (she said looks like there is no infection but to be on the safe side as I have an open wound where my port is).. 

I was worried I may not make it to the States for but she also wrote me a note in case I had any trouble at the airport saying I needed urgent treatment and to call her if I ran into any problem.. I was leaking a lot of saline and blood and although it‘s dripping now the worst is over..

Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.. Elective surgeries are actually banned here now but my op is not cosmetic (this time 😛).. I was meant to stay just a week but it will probably be closer to a month now, just to make sure everything is okay as I can‘t return easily if there’s a problem once I get home.. 

I was thinking of asking the doctor to film my surgery but would that freak people out? 🤔 I get the feeling it is something people might say they want to see but then find it gross in reality lol 

Anyways, I have my blood tests tomorrow and am trying to stay horizontal rather than vertical most of the day so as not to put any extra pressure on the port, though much of the saline on that side has gone already.. 

LA is very quiet right now as we’ve been advised to stay indoors and a lot of places are closing.. The hotel where I‘m staying they’ve stopped serving food so I went to pick up supplies.. Next week I’ll have to move somewhere where I have a microwave or cooker or some way of cooking lol (I’m a rubbish cook by the way)..

Stay safe everyone and let me know how you‘re all coping with these Coronavirus measures where you are.. When I left London things were normal but I’ve heard things have become stricter since the weekend.. People arriving in the UK weren’t being checked but on arrival here we all had to have our temperature taken and were spoken to about where we had been, what was going on etc.

I will be back with my (hopefully still huge) ass and ( . )( . ) after surgery.. Thank you for caring enough to stick with me thru the hard times as well as the good ❤️❤️

PS I have edited this post a ton as I wasn’t sure I had worded it right or written too much.. Hopefully you haven’t gotten a notification every time I’ve added or deleted something..
