Clouds are fun cos there's a lot to them (shape language, atmospheric and regular perspective, lighting, shadows... gosh!) but you can get away with a lot of abstraction

2021-10-29 06:20:06 +0000 UTCHopefully this replies correctly; I think avoiding that muddy look comes with experience, and making sure that you work with colour temperatures and deliberate, intentional brush strokes.

2021-10-29 05:47:57 +0000 UTCThanks for answering! Yeah I use Procreate and I stick with a hard round brush and do the same thing with the eyedropper tool. My blending sometimes makes surfaces look cloudy though

2021-10-29 02:10:37 +0000 UTCTy!! ✌ I blend by eye-dropping the colour and painting over. Mixer brushes seem more suited for if you use photoplates, but I think I might just be using them wrong? Smudge tools I also don't use very often, but obviously nothing wrong with that approach either.
