Consort of Destined Death Chapter 7

The clash of steel could be heard in the wooded clearing as his spear intercepted a strike aimed at his midsection. He backpedaled, keeping his attacker close enough so that he could strike at them with his spear, while also far enough away that they couldn’t advance into his guard and strike him easily with their sword.

It was easier said than done, especially when his opponent was much faster and had dexterity much higher than his own. It was something Harry had learned the hard way in their first few bouts, being that the redhead across from him was not to be underestimated.

Millicent only had one arm, unfortunately being her off-hand, and used a curved sword that was best described as questionable for a girl like her to wield. And yet, despite her sickly and malnourished form, she was masterfully skilled in combat.

And she demonstrated that very skill as she slashed his spear aside, darting into his guard in an instant before striking out with her blade. Harry twirled the spear in both hands, barely managing to block her strike with the spear’s shaft before swiping upwards with the spear’s blade. But by then Millicent had already repositioned, circling around to his backside so he missed.

Harry spun around to face her, putting his weight into his next attack as he swung the spear like a bat, as if aiming was going to bisect her in two. The girl squatted low to the ground, as his weapon missed her head by several inches, before Harry leaped backwards to gain distance.

He was trying out different weapons, having figured that the Tree Sentinel’s golden halberd wasn’t exactly the best fit for him. And so he had been purchasing weapons from Merchants and scavenging whatever he could find from dead bodies during their journey.

Sadly, unlike in the wizarding world where the wand was matched to the wizard, it seemed that he would have to train and get used to whatever weapons he found until something clicked. His latest failed attempt had been with the cross-naginata, a long spear that came tipped with a sharp blade and cross-guard. And it seemed such a weapon was simply not suited for him, being too unwieldy and slow to maneuver in close-combat.

He planted the cross-naginata into the ground, burying it a foot deep before his next weapon appeared in his hand. It was the Zweihander, a colossal greatsword with two handles he had bought off a merchant as they traveled through Limgrave.

This will slow her down… He then grasped his wand in his off hand, tapping into the gravity magic he had been learning before pointing it at the open ground before him.

Spikes of rock erupted from the ground between him and Millicent, creating a veritable minefield of sharp, pointed stones that could impale any intruder. And yet Millicent didn’t slow down in the least, instead leaping onto the closest jagged rock and balancing perfectly on its edge. She danced onto the next one, and then the one after that as she neared him.

If he hadn’t seen her abilities firsthand already, Harry was sure his jaw would have been left sitting on the ground. But luckily he knew how good she was, and only hesitated for but a moment before charging up his next attack.

His gravity magic ripped three boulders out of the ground in front of him, each the side of a goat, before his wand swung outwards and launched the rocks in her direction. It was the rock sling sorcery he had learned in Caelid, and had been his ingress into learning other gravity sorceries.

He was sure such a spell would have worked back at Hogwarts, especially against someone in his year, and maybe even against a skilled adult wizard. But against Millicent, the move was less than useless, a diversionary tactic at best, amounting to nothing more than a nuisance for her to deal with.

The redhead leapt to the side, her sword slashing at the outermost boulder as it neared her, and cutting the large rock clean in two. Strength worked differently in the Lands Between after all, depending entirely on the amount of runes one had, meaning that Millicent was at least as strong, if not stronger, than him. Malenia of all people had proved that much to him in their otherworldly confrontation, her strength great enough to send him flying head-over-heels after one blow.

He watched as Millicent charged straight at him then, her eyes narrowed in on his location. Harry decided to try one more piece of magic before he gave up, his wand moving in a wave-like motion as he poured energy into his next spell. “Diffindo!”

Three red blades erupted from his wand, each strong enough to bisect a tree in two. They flew straight at Millicent, being directly in her path if she wanted to reach him. And yet the girl didn’t slow down, her face taking on a concentrated expression as she jumped into the attack. Her body leapt forwards, angling between the top two blades of his spell, going perfectly flat in the air as she narrowly dodged the attack. The blades of magic flew underneath and above her, skimming the edge of her robes until the spell was behind her and she landed back on her feet.

Millicent barely spared a moment, as she swung at him with her sword, Shamshir, as if it didn’t weigh anything at all. It cut through the air swifter than Harry’s eyes could follow, doing so with a terrifying whoosh noise as he put his wand away and met her blade with his own.

Once again, the clash of steel filled the clearing, as Harry desperately fought with everything he had. This time he used the colossal greatsword with both hands, swinging the blade in wide arcs as to prevent Millicent from getting close.

But it was a fools hope that he would win, as Millicent sent one of his swings off course as his greatsword soon found its tip embedded in the earth. She capitalized on his misfortune, her sword going directly for his exposed neck, ending the duel in her favor.

“I win this round.” She spoke casually, all while Harry carefully eyed her curved blade as it lay stopped several centimeters from his throat.

She pulled it away then, sheathing it at her hip, as Harry tried hard not to let out a groan. “Sorry about the magic, it was a bit risky of me to use that last spell.”

“You worry too much, Harry.” Millicent smiled kindly. “I did tell you not to hold back.”

“You did, but I still worry about hurting you.” He replied, all while eyeing the beautiful landscape that surrounded them.

Stormveil castle, being the home of Godrick the Grafted, laid just south of them, its staggeringly tall towers and terrifying ramparts visible if one simply turned their head to look. Beyond it laid trees and steep cliffs, overlooking the lakes and swamps of Liurnia, something he had become intimately familiar with as of late.

After returning to Caelid, he had picked up Millicent before teleporting with her through the Grace sites back to Limgrave. It had cut down a week-long journey into something instantaneous, as he then set off with her and Melina in tow as they journeyed into Liurnia.

This had been after Millicent raided Fort Faroth while he was back at Hogwarts, stealing the Dectus Medallion and saving him and Melina the time of having to track it down. It would allow them to use the Grand Lift of Dectus and access the Altus Plateau, and from there, the group of them would be able to get to the Erdtree.

At least, that would be after their group made it through Liurnia, a task that was easier said than done. The swamps of Liurnia were second only to Caelid in terms of their deadliness, in his opinion at least. Undead inferi creatures, mosquitoes the size of his head, along with massive lobsters and crabs seemed to be everywhere, all of which seemingly waiting to ambush them as they rode through on Torrent.

And that wasn’t to mention what their plan would be after they got to the Altus Plateau. Millicent seemed to have her own agenda, which Harry could only guess meant visiting Malenia, while Melina seemed content to go with the flow, with her only request being to visit the Erdtree.

There was also the matter of Ranni, and what the strange blue witch wanted from him. He knew that she lived somewhere in Liurnia, and he might even need to seek her out, but that would mean having to drag Millicent along with him. He certainty couldn’t leave the redhead to fend for herself, despite how skilled she was in combat.

On top of that was the glaring issue of Malenia, the demigod that Millicent was seeking out on her journey. The woman had asked specifically for Harry to visit her, and tasked him with following Millicent on their route there. The problem was that he still didn’t know where exactly the woman was located, only that she lived beyond the Altus Plateau.

He shook his head, putting those worries aside as he walked with Millicent back to where their campsite was setup. Harry knew he had plenty of time to figure all of those things out, and in the end the decision might even be made for him.

“What is your relationship to Malenia anyways?” Harry couldn’t help but ask as they walked.

Millicent pondered the question, seemingly deep in thought before she answered. “Malenia is… She is my daddy.”

Harry stumbled, his sword literally falling out of his hand before he managed to catch himself and not fall over. “W-What?!”

“S-Sorry.” Millicent blushed in clear embarrassment. “I didn’t mean to phrase it like that, promise!”

He let out a small laugh, finding the redhead’s antics amusing. “It’s alright, just caught me off guard is all.”

Millicent was obviously older than him, and yet she still acted like a child sometimes. She was not ignorant of the wold’s dangers, having grown up in Caelid after all, yet was still naive when it came to some subjects. The girl was innocent in Harry’s eyes, just like he was when he left his cupboard under the stairs and discovered the Wizarding World for the first time.

“When the scarlet rot took root in Malenia during her battle with Radahn… I was born.” Millicent answered his question after a moment. “It would be a stretch to say that I was her daughter, but rather that I was born of the scarlet rot she unleashed in their battle.”

“I see.” Harry murmured, thinking over the strange connection between Malenia, the scarlet rot, Caelid, her battle with Radahn, and how it all connected to Millicent. It was the type of thing that would drive one mad to think about all of it and come up with theories, and he bet there were cults created over stuff like this.

The two of them soon got back to where they set up camp, where Melina sat by a fire while Torrent grazed on grass off to the side. Melina was working to roast a boar they had killed earlier over the fire while he and Millicent had been off training. Overhead, the sun began to disappear, leaving only the cold moon and the Erdtree for light.

Their campsite had been setup on a hill overlooking Liurnia’s lakes, not too far from the southern part of the Liurnian highway. And as Harry sat down, he got a clear look over the swampy landscape and saw the massive castle that was the Academy of Raya Lucaria sitting peacefully in the distance.

I wonder if it’s anything like Hogwarts… Melina seemed to know little about the strange academy that focused on Glintstone Sorceries. And his old tutor, Sellen, had been expelled from the place and had less than savory words to say about its residents.

To Harry, it seemed very odd that a magical academy of all things could exist in the Lands Between. The land was literally scarred by war, its inhabitants scattered to the winds while monsters preyed upon what little remained. Nearly everything he came across tried to kill him, and Liurnia seemed no different from Limgrave and Caelid in that aspect.

He fought back a sigh as he watched Melina cut up the cooked boar and place its pork into servings for him and Millicent to enjoy. It was too bad they had yet to find a Site of Grace to rest at, otherwise he could’ve made a quick trip back to Hogwarts to get some food from the elves.

An idea struck him then, and Harry felt dumb he hadn’t tried to call a house-elf sooner. “Dobby.”

The world was quiet, the sound of wind audible as he waited for his House-elf to appear. And yet there was no pop of apparition, meaning that Dobby either hadn’t heard him, or simply wasn’t able to reach the Lands Between.

“Harry?” Melina asked, looking at him worriedly.

“It’s nothing.” He waved her off, hoping she didn’t think he was going insane. “Back at my school we have these creatures, house-elves, that appear when you call them. I just wanted to see if it would work here.”

“I had forgotten about that.” Millicent said, looking at him attentively as she bit into her pork while holding it with her one hand, not bothering with any manners whatsoever. “You had mentioned your home before, what was it called?”

“Hogwarts.” He answered with a smile. “It’s actually somewhat similar to Raya Lucaria, in that it’s a big castle on a cliff overlooking a nearby lake. It’s a hidden magic school in my old world where witches and wizards are taught.”

“You sound fond of it.” Millicent remarked with a kind smile.

Harry’s expression shifted suddenly, his lips curling into a frown as a sour expression appeared on his face. While he had certainly loved Hogwarts in the past, and in a way still felt endeared to the magical world, things had changed as of late. Ron, Hermione, and the people who he used to associate with had all left him, leaving him lost and alone.

Ever since the Triwizard Tournament began it was like this, as Harry had to fend for himself while everyone at school whispered ugly things behind his back. Ron and his roommates had practically excommunicated him, with Hermione barely able to look at him anymore. It was all so… petty. And it left him with a bad taste in his mouth.

“H-Harry? D-Did I do something to offend you?” Millicent asked with worry, looking as if she was horrified of the thought of upsetting him.

“No, I’m sorry to worry you, Millicent.” He put his hand on her thigh to comfort her, causing the redhead to redden and look aside swiftly. “It’s just that, before I came here, I was entered into a tournament in school against my will.”

“A Tournament? Like the Radahn Festival?”

“Nothing like that… At least I hope.” Harry muttered the last part under his breath, silently hoping the 3 tasks of the tournament wouldn’t be anything like fighting General Radahn.

“Then what is the issue? There is glory to be won in this tournament, is there not?” Millicent inquired.

“I don’t want glory.” Harry had to hold himself back from practically screaming those words in frustration, having long ago detested his fame and glory as the Boy-Who-Lived. “Sorry. The issue is that there is this dark wizard in my world, named Voldemort, who probably entered my name into the tournament. He’s the same person who killed my parents, and has been obsessed with killing me since I defeated him ages ago. It’s mostly speculation on my part, but Voldemort likely entered me into this tournament so I would get killed, as witches and wizards more experienced than I am have died in it.”

“That’s… complicated.” Millicent settled on saying after a moment.

“You underestimate yourself, Harry.” Melina looked directly at him with her lone eye, a comforting smile on her lips. “You defeated the Tree Sentinel after you first arrived here, survived the Swamp of Aeonia, and defeated Commander O’Neil—”

“—and you saved me from scarlet rot!” Millicent chimed in.

“—That too.” Melina nodded. “You’re on a clear path to becoming Elden Lord, and it’s only a matter of time till you get your first Great Rune. A school tournament should hardly worry you.”

“…Thanks.” He said after a moment, feeling his heart do a little flip at Melina’s kind words. “I needed to hear that. Especially with the first task of the Tournament coming soon.”

“We will see that you are prepared for it.” Millicent gave him an encouraging nod. “Just don’t hold back on me during training tomorrow.”

/////

The crackling of fire could be heard in the background as Millicent tried and failed to fall asleep, eventually giving up as she opened her eyes while laying on her side.

No matter how hard she tried, the image of that dark-haired wizard refused to go away every time she closed her eyes. Harry Potter simply would not leave her head, his green eyes constantly visible within her mind’s eye. It almost felt like she was becoming obsessed with him, his presence alone making her feel things she had never thought possible.

In a way, however, it made sense she would feel like this. He had been the only one to treat her with such kindness, going out of his way to give her the golden needle and cure her scarlet rot. He was her savior, the only person in the world she owed her allegiance to, and someone Millicent never wanted to abandon.

She had been bone-thin when he found her, her ribs visible underneath her robes. But she had been getting healthier ever since, her body filling out as each day went by. Muscles appeared where there used to be nothing but stretched skin and bone. Her legs began to look more toned and curvier, and that was without mentioning the six outlines of skin forming on her stomach.

Strangely enough, her bum became rounded and soft to the touch, an oddly attractive quality that she caught Harry glancing at every now and then. And that was without mentioning the two breasts on her chest, swelling out as the scarlet rot dwindled and disappeared, each becoming little handfuls in size. Millicent had tried touching them, but the pleasure was often too much for her to handle.

I wouldn’t mind Harry touching them. Her hand went to her chest then, as she bit her lip to restrain a pleasure-filled moan. Oh, Harry…

“Oh, Harry~” A voice that wasn’t hers moaned.

Millicent stiffened in place, her back going ramrod straight as she laid on her side. It was Melina who moaned Harry’s name in that moment, not her, and Millicent had to wonder what was going on.

“Quiet.” Harry’s voice ordered Melina in a low tone, making her body quiver.

Are they together? Millicent didn’t dare move a muscle, listening carefully as she heard the rustle of clothes being divested across the campsite. Harsh, feminine breaths came next, making her eyes widen as she realized what they were doing. Is he taking her now?

“H-Harry, y-you’re just so big!” Melina moaned in his grasp.

Millicent imagined him then, his big cock penetrating deep into her tight and thin body as she shook in his arms. She might be ignorant of the world, but the actions that came with baby making and motherhood were known to her as a woman.

“Fuck, Harry, Fuck…” A light clapping noise could be heard in the clearing as Harry fucked Melina in place, being careful as not to make too much noise and wake her up. Luckily the pair didn’t know Millicent was awake, actively listening to them fornicate from her place.

She’s so lucky. Millicent rubbed at her core, feeling the warmth inside herself akin to a raging volcano. If only Harry would take me…

“S-So much… T-There’s so much…” The way Melina said that make Millicent’s eyes practically roll up into her skull.

She had to violently bite down on her lip as to not scream when her release finally came, her body quivering in place as she imagined the dark-haired wizard fucking her.

How can I even look him in the eye tomorrow? The next days training would be impossible if her mind was in the gutter the entire time, fixed on the thoughts of Harry’s lovemaking. There was also the shame of lusting after someone who was already in a relationship, as she doubted Melina wanted to share.

Will he even accept me? She was infected with scarlet rot, and despite the golden needle holding it back, she wondered if it was even worth the risk. No, it’s better for me and Harry to stay apart.
