This comment is super late and random, but southern accents usually pop up in anime dubs for characters with Kansai accents! Region of Japan that's seen as more country and rural than Tokyo proper. Basically, it's to help portray Megumi as a country bumpkin. Love her ❤️

2021-10-01 08:04:29 +0000 UTCThe dish made in this episode was beef bourguignon, (beef stew). Beef braised in red wine, broth flavored with garlic, onion, carrots and herbs in a bouquet garni. Garnished with pearl onions, mushrooms and bacon. When I was in Le Cordon Bleu, every major cuisine had a lead chef. In our French cuisine classes, beef bourguignon was one of the first major exam dishes. Usually takes 2-3 hrs to completely braise. There's a whole list of ingredients that tenderize meat. Some of the more common ones are pineapple juice and cola. Honey is a great option also, but a little too expensive to use.
