Must say I appreciate how they handle romance in this anime. There's the adorable back and forth angst with Ed and Winry that y'all mentioned. But there's also the implied but never explicitly mentioned type with Mustang and Hawkeye. The hilarious swooning with Mae and Al. And the mysterious, but understanding marriage type we saw with Hoenheim and Trisha last episode. They tackle so many but they never bog down the show like I feel they do in other shonen type shows

Yeah in the manga they show an additional scene where Kimblee is actually ordered to kill the Rockbell's and discover their bodies after Scar killed them. Some soldiers would mock them (for helping Ishvalans), but Kimblee would tell them that the Rockbell's did their duty as doctors to the end and that he liked them because of that. For a psychopath, he has very strict convictions about purpose, whether it matches or goes against his own, he respects anyone who stays true to it. It's why he offers a stone to Ed, to see if he would stay true to his convictions and purpose. Kimblee also seems to have no care for the side he is on, they just so happen to allow him to destroy, which seems to be what he believes his purpose to be. I don't like him per se but he is one of the most compelling villains in the show imo

Kimblee was being genuine with Winry. He does respect people who stand by their beliefs and he did recover their bodies. The only thing he lied about was he sent to “help” them. The Rockbells were saving Ishvalans and that had to stop. He was sent to kill them.

It’s hilarious that the same voice actress that voices Camie from MHA( girl that Toga swapped places with and was part of the extra provisional training course) and Pride are one and the same 😂😂 talk about range

you guys talked about it a little bit, but I think the interaction with pride in the tunnel, I believe he left because he saw that Hawkeye was at the house and put the priority there instead of the people in the tunnel that didn't really know anything. Also, I really look forward to seeing you react to an upcoming episode, it'll be fun.

Interestingly, I also thought Kimblee was lying to Winry about recovering her parents’ bodies. But, in the manga, it literally shows it. I think it makes him even more of a psychopath that he was telling the truth. I’m not certain, but I don’t believe Kimblee has lied at all in the entire series. There could be some arguments for bending the truth to fit his narrative such as a “lack of communication” being the reason Ed and Al are imprisoned at Briggs, but still. Not entirely untrue.
