This one definitely tears you down before building you back up again. I think it's one of the core messages of the show that it's Violet's building a life for herself that gave her a reason to live. Without the Major, and without the war, she thought she had nothing; but it's by being reminded of all the impact she's made and can continue to make that she realizes there is a reason to go on. And that having a reason to live and thrive isn't something someone else can give you, it's something you need to give to yourself. I love Hodgins' talk with Cattleya about burns, because not only does it highlight that wars affect the homefront too, and everyone suffers, but it ties it to the audience as well. We all have hurts and regrets in our own lives, and gaining the strength to recognize and accept them is the first step in moving forward. Thanks again for another great reaction. :)
