Finally patreon shoutout! You need to let YouTube know daily! You never know who jumps on the recommended bandwagon!(:

You will be! And it will be a week early like the rest. So next Thursday you will get episodes 7&8 together 😁

I was just wondering if we were gonna get the double uploads for haikyuu or if we are not?

I rewatched the whole of season 4 in 2 days. Seeing their season 2 versions, compared to their season 4 versions is just amazing. As a former libero, I have to agree it was a little selfish. We as a team need to discuss this beforehand to limit the risk of injury. Kageyama needed to understand Hinata's point of view too, that's why this arc is great. It did one good thing though. It made everyone want to improve. Like what Asahi said, he needs to improve or Hinata will take his spot from him. Rewatching this with you guys made me pinpoint the moment when Karasuno started really growing. This arc is where the crows first start growing. When Hinata meets my second favorite character of all time (owl head), along with this other guy is when his growth starts. I can't wait to rewatch this arc with volleyball players. 2x6 to 2x10 is just great. Then tsukki in the later seasons. O.O! Haikyuu is one of the rare animes that made me cry without realizing it. (Season 3-4!!) As former players, you remember the feeling really well. Furudate (manga author) was a former middle blocker, that's why Hinata is a middle. Anyway, looking forward to more Hypekyuu!! Come on Monday! Oh wait Sunday first cause of Jujutsu Kaisen.

As someone who used to play Volleyball competitively in the past I wholeheartily agree with your explanation.

Wait. We’re watching Haikyu!? 😳 It’s selfish in the regard that he let no one on his team know what he was trying to do. You can want to improve as a player on your own accord but if you want to try something different you have to make your team aware so collisions don’t happen. Everyone on the team wants everyone to improve. This is why they practice so hard! Ukai literally helps Hinata during practice. As well as Noya and Kageyama. There’s more to volleyball than spiking. As a middle blocker, which is the position he’s in, he needs to know how to block, pass, and set. All of these things he has improved on since he got to Karasuno and that was with the help of his teammates and Coach Ukai. -Kelc

Hinata does need to practice. He needs to practice every skill associated with volleyball and there are several indications throughout this show where his teammates, his coach and opposing players have helped him improve his game so I’m not sure where you’re getting that nobody on the team has attempted to help Hinata. You can practice something new in a practice match, that is what they’re for. However, the things you want to practice are typically talked about with the team or just a few other teammates first before trying it. If you attempt something new without telling your team then you’re risking injuring others like we saw with Hinata and Asahi’s collision. Hinata was a little selfish in that moment because he did something new without consulting his teammates. -Kelc

Are you even watching Haikyuu? When has Hinata been selfish? How is wanting to to try something new during a practice match selfish? He's literally being used that way by the team with no real consideration for trying to get him to improve as an actual player. The only instruction he's gotten is to run real fast and jump.

Its funny to me how people always say how Hinata needs to practice, yet they don't want him to get better at spiking. His position was chosen solely for spiking. Hinata was NOT being selfish. His wanting to improve was for the teams benefit. As far as him wanting to try in a "game", all of those matches were practice matches. Why not practice something new in a practice match? Nobody on the team has attempted to help Hinata improve any other volleyball skills, so saying he's selfish for his recognition of a way he can improve and help the team is a baffling point of view.

❤👌💕 "mumble mumble mumble"

This season has a couple of baffling decisions - like one to make a certain fan-favorite ace be really aggressive and threaten to punch people when he is the sweetest, kindest kid. The writing is good, the dub voices are great, but they definitely take some liberties here and there.

“For the first time, I felt that instead of just a partner, I had a friend” in the sub, ‘partner’ & ‘friend’ is switched. which makes more sense that he now has a partner rather than a friend. his team in middle school were his friends. what hinata needed was a teammate/partner. i love the dub, just don’t know why they switch that around.
