I love this show so much man, I'm anxious for your reactions going forward! Poor Winry lol, her boys are gonna give her gray hairs before she hits thirty. I loved Hawkeye in this episode, one of my favorite characters! One thing I love about this show is how it treats women characters and their choices in the story.

This episode with Roy vs Lust is probably one of the most savage and amazing moments in anime. Not to mention that the voiceactors are married to each other so thats funny. Also props to Laura Bailey for making the screams so unbelieveably convincing.

Also, Black Hayate (Hawkeye's dog) is the best boy.

"That was a lot of an episode". Very true words. Lust did say that she was being forced to kill two candidates. Wrath might have walked away because he saw a chance to keep them alive. Envy did go out of his way to keep Ed alive in episode 8 after all. Or Wrath could be keeping his involvement a secret from mustang and Al. As you said, he is SUSPICOUS! Also, at least Barry's death is one you don't have to feel too bad about, as he was a remorseless serial killer.

This is one of my favourite episodes, simply because of the way it's storyboarded and shot. Brilliant animation in that scene with Lust and Hawkeye, just all the little facial movements they put in as you can see Hawkeye understand what Lust is saying and go from shock to sadness to anger and then despair.... with minimal dialogue on her part. There's no long internal monologue where Riza is going over everything Roy means to her, or their shared pasts, or her dashed hopes for the future. It's all just written on her face, and comes through in the line delivery. With just the lines "You biiitch!" at the start, "leave me and save yourself" at the end, and a lot of amazingly emotional voicework and animation inbetween, you're made to understand what this loss means to her. It's some of the best "Show, don't tell" I've seen, and it gives me goosebumps every time.

The bottoms of circles are the best part anyway; whisky glasses, rocking chair rails, skateboard half-pipes. what are the tops good for? Umbrellas? Lame.

Your reaction was interesting haha this is actually one of my favorite episodes of the series, and I wasn’t disappointed 💕 You may be confused because Homonculus until now seemed way too OP, but you would be surprised at how OP Flame Alchemy is actually lol it’s super destructive, as in, incinerated cells can’t regenerate, so the philosophers’ stone had to put double the work to regenerate Lust’s body, now imagine the stone having to do this continuously cause Mustang is burning Lust without taking a rest, the stones have a limit even if they are super powerful. Also, it’s super fun seeing people’s reactions to Hohenheim actually appearing in this episode, and I’m excited to see how your opinions will develop over the course of the series 🥰

The tops of circles are overrated anyhow. No need for them in my life!
