I feel like you guys are a little unfair to the teacher from last episode. He has good points - Suga isn't going to be good enough to pursue volleyball as a career, and universities in Japan are VERY competitive, which is why it is standard for the third-years to retire in the last tournament of the year unless they are already locked into nationals. The teacher was doing what a teacher should do, and looking out for their grades and their futures. Of course, he doesn't have the whole picture, which is why Takeda made the correct decision to stress to them that if volleyball was important to them, they should continue it.

Things are different in Japan. "Let the do that while they can" means nothing there. Studies are extremely important, and the exam process is very rigorous. Preparation is important. Also, they were just given advice, nobody was going to force them to quit.

Fun Fact: Before creating Haikyuu, Furudate made his living creating horror manga. Witch is why the Haikyuu cast has such well-drawn scary eyes. Also in Japan it is mandated that you must have a college degree for 95% of of all jobs in the country. Witch is why it is hevally suggested that 3rd years drop extracurricular activities in the summer to focus on entry exams.

Ahh, Hinata throwing some trash talk back was fantastic! Love seeing characters grow their backbone. Also talking about doing homework on public transport gave me trauma flashbacks from school 🤮

Personally, I found their conversation in dub to be a lot better but I guess that's just my preference. Either way, it's a fantastic show in sub or dub and I'm glad they're enjoying it so much!

From the concrete is a lot better. God this dub sucks.
