Ep 156 is the episode that made me really start shipping GinTae....I know it's a troll, buuuut it's a bait and I happily clamped on it LOL. I know Tsukuyo is the mainstream 'best girl' for Gin, but maybe you'll see after finishing Gintama why I saw how Gin's and Otae's relationship ran deeper. I don't have anything against Tsukky, in fact her moments w/ Gintoki are also hilarious and some badass too. But it's still a solid GinTae for me. Then again you might not care LOL but maybe some of you can just also see different perspectives and how good Sorachi-sensei is at these kind of things. Shipping aside, Ep 156 is also one of my favorites ever because it's just comedy gold and so unique, yet also so deep. I love your introspection with the episode's theme. Lastly, welcome back!!! I just realized you have been posting Gintama again, and now we can have more Gintama fun again with your reactions. <3

I actually finished watching Gintama for the first time while you were gone. I have spent around 10 years watching Gintama on and off, and most of it I spent avoiding reaching any of the endings. I kept watching episodes again and again through different reactors, only to stop whenever they were closing in on the final ending. Now that I have finally toughened up and finished Gintama, I have felt a bit regretful. It's bittersweet because, in the end, I never wanted it to end. I didn't even know why I suddenly stopped watching Gintama the first time around despite enjoying it so. It was only later I realized it was because the ending(at the time) was closing in. Now that I have finally finished the show, I have spent time catching up with the other reactors I started out with -but never followed to the end-, or just re-watching old episodes. But, I’m not sure if this is sad or sweet, but I kept wondering how you would react whenever I watched Gintama episodes you have yet to see… ‘Would you find that funny? Would you be touched by this? What would your thoughts be on that? Would you also simp for this? What would you say during that episode?’ Stuff like that. So it's really great to have you back, and I hope you will continue to enjoy Gintama with us(at your own pace) until the end<3

I think it's brilliant, relying only on the voice actors, definitely less budget needed for animation right, but we entertained all the same, even more! (In the manga it was just a LOT of speech bubbles lol). Can't agree more with you, I love the concept of complaining out of love. And Sorachi giving the idea of Gintoki/Tae to the audience lol. To me it looks like he just want to let us know it's very easy for Gintoki/Tae to happen if Sorachi wants to go this way, but ofc he went comedy way.
