HG 00 Sky
Added 2024-03-10 00:34:13 +0000 UTCI've been meaning to get back into photoshoots this year and so far it's not going all too well. My one-photo-a-day challenge died about 2 weeks into the year ever since I figured out that I don't have enough hours in a day nor the energy to paint, do my day job and then take photos.
I've been going through some (age-appropriate) Gundam series with my son, and I recently watched Build Divers for the first time. Now that I've seen the 00 Sky in action, I decided to bust out this vintage build which I believe I built it in late 2018, making this almost 6 years old at the time of this photoshoot. The mixes for the paints are lost to history at this point, but I'm guessing the blue is Mr Color Blue + Fluro pink -> add white for highlights.
Despite never seen the anime before building it, I really like the 00 Sky's tanky design. Now having taken photos and posed / played with it for a bit, it is a pretty decent kit, but the sword handle is a bit too thin and doesn't sit well in hand.
The action poses were shot with the 24mm lens, I actually forgot I had a zoom lens that goes down to 18mm, but it's been about 4 months since the last photoshoot :O.
