Added 2021-08-16 23:50:30 +0000 UTCWhere in the hell have I been? I stepped back from this project for a few days to clear my head, and a few days turned into a couple of weeks. I've been back working every night again for a little while now, though, and here's the new developments:
We have a male protagonist! Finally. I'm horrendous at designing characters, so this was brutal, BUT...remember how Retsuko's mom keeps bringing her photoshopped portraits of potential suitors? I made a de-shopped version of this Cheetah Boy to star as Retsuko's partner/victim. What a handsome lad. In the beginning of the animation, there's going to be a shot of the portrait still on the table in Retsy's apartment, and it will fade directly to his actual face, in order to comedically illustrate just how much her mom exaggerated the facts.
I have vectorized two of the poses for Retsuko, time to add Mr. Cheetah Man (he needs a name lol) to them and get to animating. Also, there's another new scene that my boy Archfiend just drew up (@4RCHF1END).
I promise, I'll never leave you again.
