Personal Update #1

Hey guys, Chainsmoker here

Since me and Slip started this Patreon page back in June of 2021, I haven’t posted a single life update post. Now, looking back, I think that it was unfair and you deserve to know more about what is happening with me and things I do here for you. I decided to be more open for you, to speak out and share some thoughts. Many people are here for lewds only and I completely understand them, that is why there is an [IRL] tag on this post. If you don’t want to get in personal things, you can stop reading right here, it’s alright! <3

From now on I work alone

If you haven't heard the news yet, now I’m on my own now. This means that now I'm writing scripts, making edits and much more, which Slip helped me with. I don't know yet how this will affect the amount of content I will be able to post. However, the most difficult part is to keep going on alone without a partner you could always rely on. But I'm trying to stay optimistic and hopefully I'll find a way to get back on track.

Lack of motivation

I'll say it straight. It's a very difficult time in my life right now. I have physical and mental issues after the covid, my university studies are very rough now and...

...and I recently lost a family member. 

There aren’t many things left that make me happy. Probably the only thing that keeps me going is you. Everyone who enjoy the things I make, who likes, shares and comments on my stuff. It makes me smile and say: 

'That’s why I’m doing it. To make people out there happier! To brighten their day a little!' 

This feeling alone makes me want to keep fighting, stay strong and hope for a better future.

What happens now?

Now, I’m trying to pass all the university exams as fast as possible and have some time left in the end of the month for work. I still plan to finish Coomsday 2021 before the end of the month.

Future plans

I will probably take a break in early February to recover a little bit of mental and physical health. I will also pay more attention to the quality of my work. The last thing I want is to become a 'conveyor artist' who does the same things without any improvements. I will definitely try to do more animations as well.

Moreover, I want to add other universes to my work, not very sure about specific ones, but I have Borderlands (there are a lot of hot ladies there), Team Fortress 2 (Miss Pauling and female scout are pog), Witcher/Cyberpunk (the well-known waifus) on my mind.

Our Discord server will also receive updates. I have some fun ideas in mind for that!

Other things to clarify

I was thinking to start taking commissions, however I’m not sure it will happen anytime soon, since I want to focus on creating some kind of a universe, and this will take a lot of time and effort.

And don't worry, I remember that I owe you a Mercy animation, I'll get to it as soon as possible!
