Your reaction to the father's reveal was very funny! I wish i could remember what mine was. :)) Light lives a comfortable and secure life having everything: good family, good grades, popularity and athletic ability. He is always talking about humans like he is not one, like he is above them and i think that's one of his flaws in thinking. He's showing this villainous side when he is embracing Kira. Who knows, if the Death Note wouldn't enabled that part of him, he probably would do what a model citizen is supposed to do: graduate, go into college, get a good job, don't have problems with the law (+family, house, car? :))) Also, have you notice when he is on his way to school, his eyes are brown when the sunlight hits his face (~31:00) and how later when he explain human behavior to Ryuk, and the sunlight is on him, his eyes are red? (~38:54). A cool detail because as we know, the eyes are the window to the soul. You mentioned about risks at work and i was thinking that now, with the supernatural and all, the police feels like having a guillotine hanging about their heads all the time; the fear is even greater "maybe someone will shoot or stab me and i may survive, but for sure will end my life if i get on Kira's wrong side". The chase between Light and L is so entertaining and fun. When you think you got something they will came with another angle. Like L who got that Kira can also control the time of death & has access to data from inside and Light that wanted to plant some seeds of doubts in the police section.

A big reason why dubbing sometimes differs from the original/subtitles is because they need to change phrases to fit the existing lip flaps. An example from this episode is when the subtitles say ”I’m sorry” and in the dub he says something like ”I wanted to apologize” to match the length of the Japanese since it is much longer. In this case it didn’t change the meaning really, but sometimes it can. As someone who understands Japanese, it’s not a big deal though and the Death Note dub is totally fine.

I wouldn't rely on people claiming the accuracy of subtitles is higher than that of the dubbing. It might well be, but it's not like most people watching understand japanese and can verify. I honestly don't see a reason why subtitles would have a better translation, having seen anime which have multiple versions of subtitles that differ dramatically based on which service you are using to watch it. There is always the argument that the emotions aren't conveyed properly which still stands, although I would argue the english dub, specifically for death note, nails it quite well.

BTW I watch you only when i have time and you have my focus as much as possible, thats why sometimes a few days pass by until i have watched your videos. 😀 And you always talk about how intelligent L is but really, you are figuring out stuff so fast by yourself! :)

It's so sad that icd-10 is still used the most here in germany as far as i know. Borderline for example is explained more fitting in icd-11 in my opionion since it is a spectrum. But I have a therapist that isn't focused on diagnosing as well. She has a systemic approach (i don't know if it is the same in english, sorry)
