Patreon and Apple App pricing
Added 2025-02-07 12:27:47 +0000 UTCHey everyone, just a quick heads up. I have had an email from Patreon today saying that the new app store pricing has now come into effect. What this means is that Patreon displays prices as 30% higher to people who are using the Patreon App on an apple device. This is so Patreon can cover their 'Apple App Store Tax'. The way around this is to not use the app when signing up for the first time, or purchasing something. You can still use a browser on your iphone or Apple device, or use a laptop / computer and not pay that additional 30%. Once you've signed up or made a purchase you can then use the app as normal.
