To the discussion about anime on this stream Frieren and Death Note are probably the most "mature" out of everything that was mentioned (and AoT ofc). The rest are mostly shōnen. Anime has a specific genre called shōnen. Shōnen are shows aimed at boys aged 12 and up, usually featuring cool fights, friendship, and the development of unique abilities for the main characters. They almost always follow a similar structure, with rare exceptions. From the rest, I would highly recommend A Silent Voice and Your Name. Your Name is an absolute classic, while A Silent Voice is more your theme, i think — it tackles themes like redemption, forgiveness, loneliness, depression, and suicidal thoughts, so there's definitely a lot to discuss. However, both are full-length movies, so I'm not sure if they'd fit in terms of runtime.
