Well now that you've seen episode 1 you at least have to see ep 2!! And I really hope you react to the rest of s1, it's a shorter season, then you can see if you feel like you want to continue watching the show? I am super hyped to see you react to MHA because this anime means so much to me, it's become one of my biggest comfort shows, it's an incredble anime, and I feel it has a great balance of covering more serious and mature themes and subject matter at times, with more light hearted humour and character interactions, it's a show I'm very passionate about, despite it being a bit more 'cheesy' compared to other more serious shows, but even Death Note, Attack On Titan, and especially Fullmetal Alchemist have their more 'wacky' anime moments. I hugely recommend reacting to it!

2025-02-01 00:35:26 +0000 UTCSorry, I suppose I was worried that I misrepresented myself in my first comment and wanted to clarify. I’ll be sure to check out your therapy channel, thank you so much!!

2025-01-29 16:52:38 +0000 UTCHey Jelly, not sure why you are apologising - I was genuinely asking what you like so I could check it out. I don't expect people to watch everything I put out all, some of it will just go up for fun like this one. I'll definitely be checking out some more TOP very soon. I see you mentioned my older therapy style videos, if you didnt know I still put videos up on the therapy channel (Therapy in Action).

2025-01-29 10:20:00 +0000 UTCI love MHA, but there are a lot of episodes. You really have to buckle up for this one.

2025-01-29 02:14:06 +0000 UTCI really hope you continue watching and showing videos of this! I was skeptical at first when I started it a while ago (old school anime fan here hehe), but it quickly grabbed me. It adds depth to a lot of characters as time goes on, especially the villains - some aren't just one-dimensional, they have real stories to address why they are the way they are. Hope to see more of MHA from you! :D

2025-01-29 01:13:43 +0000 UTCAgreed! I still need to finish Frieren but from what I've seen it's got a lot to talk about regarding mental health, but it's also quite different from Arcane. More light-hearted, yet still deep and emotionally complex. Also, I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood yet. It's a classic beloved anime for very good reason. Heavier and more on the action side of things than Frieren, but full of trauma and complex emotional stuff to talk about.

2025-01-29 00:01:30 +0000 UTCAlso ”Therapist reacts to Todoroki’s backstory” (a character you meet soon) would probably do numbers on Youtube haha

2025-01-28 22:17:06 +0000 UTCIf you want a more light-hearted show to watch this is a good pick, although it gets much heavier later on with themes like child abuse (a lot of it), psychopathy, deep regrets, serial murder, etc.
Maki
2025-01-28 22:15:46 +0000 UTCI’ve seen it mentioned already but I would like to underline that Frieren would be amazing to watch after Arcane

2025-01-28 21:22:43 +0000 UTCAh, nice, I'll definitely watch that. I don't really have any trailer/show suggestions in a general context, but, I'll definitely input if a poll/convo about future shows/movies pops up.

2025-01-28 21:18:51 +0000 UTCI actually did one punch man straight after MHA to test out a different mic set up. I’ll probably upload it tomorrow morning if people are interested in it. I can’t really stream trailers because of the copyright but can make reaction videos to them. What do you suggest?
Lenny
2025-01-28 21:10:49 +0000 UTCAs mentioned before, The Last of Us could be the next one to replace Arcane... The Last of Us is one of my favorite video games. The second part left me with a hollow feeling in my chest for several days. It’s true that it deals with themes like revenge, forgiveness, trauma, and morality, portraying human characters with questionable decisions. Like Arcane, it’s a series based on a video game. The HBO adaptation is very well done: it stays true to the game and is directed by the same creator of the games. The first season has 9 episodes, and the second (and final) season will arrive in April.

2025-01-28 21:08:48 +0000 UTCYou might like One Punch Man if you're wanting short stress free react material. I believe it's on Netflix. After Arcane, It would be cool seeing you do a stream where you go over potential next shows, watch trailers, then finish with a poll of the shows you ended up finding interesting from suggestions.

2025-01-28 20:09:11 +0000 UTCApologies, I was commenting to support engagement on your videos despite not watching this one, not to dissuade you from continuing or to demand other media reactions. I enjoy all of what you put out, including the informational style videos towards the beginning of your channel, music reactions, and I’m open to any new show reactions as well! It just so happens anime tends to make me a bit uncomfortable—I think the humor doesn’t land quite right for me—but that’s definitely a me issue and there are plenty who enjoy! I like your style of videos specifically so aside from that I’m open to any media you have an interest in, as it’s most fun when it’s up your alley as well! I believe I recall you saying something along the lines of wanting to do more Twenty One Pilots analysis but people didn’t seem to be interested, which I’m sorry to hear as I’m sure that would have been very nice to see and hopefully create as well. I know you have to take into account your audience to get enough engagement on the channel but I wouldn’t want that to pressure you or discourage you from using and sharing the topics and material you are personally interested in, too. All that to say I apologize for not watching this one, but I am here to boost it anyhow and my norm is that I am down for anything you might throw our way :)

2025-01-28 20:02:18 +0000 UTCI think MHA is a great option for a 'popcorn' experience without the pressure of indepth analysis. I watched this on my lunch break and enjoyed it.

2025-01-28 19:49:12 +0000 UTCYeah, Frieren is heavy sweet ! ….
Carol Grein Ericson
2025-01-28 19:28:49 +0000 UTCYeah this is the kind of thing I’ll check out when I’m nearer the end of arcane. I don’t want anything too heavy at the moment.
Lenny
2025-01-28 19:07:02 +0000 UTCI’m just trying stuff out which is relatively low risk if there is technical failure lol. I can’t handle anything too heavy with Arcane going on!
Lenny
2025-01-28 19:06:31 +0000 UTCOh I didn’t know you are into anime I was going to suggest you to watch Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, after finishing arcane ! 😂

2025-01-28 19:04:18 +0000 UTCanimated shows with trauma is one of my hyperfixations and I won't lie to you, MHA is one of my least liked shows, I would highly recommend Dororo, Code Geass, Banana Fish and Erased, a huge emphasis on Banana Fish, that is RIGHT up your alley
TaroGhostie
2025-01-28 17:29:20 +0000 UTCI'd recommend you check out The Last of Us, there is a lot more there for you in terms of character trauma and story and it's a brilliant show based on an equally brilliant game and full of emotion
TaroGhostie
2025-01-28 17:28:07 +0000 UTCWhat do you like?
Lenny
2025-01-28 17:01:15 +0000 UTCAnime is not so much my cup of tea but hope you enjoy!
Jelly Shelly
2025-01-28 16:36:09 +0000 UTCObviously you can't work with MHA as you did with Arcane, but it's fun. I really enjoyed watcihng you having a fun time and chilling! It's nice for a change. I wouldn't mind watching your reactions to the whole series, or at least S1 if you don't feel like watching any further :)

2025-01-28 16:13:05 +0000 UTCPlease keep watching this show, i really enjoy watching you react to this

2025-01-28 15:51:19 +0000 UTCIf you specifically want to dive into animated shows, there is a relatively new one called Invincible which only has a couple seasons with more on the way. I like the relationships and feel like a lot of the characters are very relatable but complex. However, I'd also say that not really any animated shows have hit for me in quite the same way that Arcane has.

2025-01-28 13:48:49 +0000 UTCJust watched the Deku English VA compete in a street fighter tournament as Robbie Rotten, dude's got some range lol

2025-01-28 13:25:42 +0000 UTCThat's so random lol, MHA is fun but it's definitively aimed at young boys, it's literally the name of the genre in Japanese "shonen" means young boy. Maybe try some comedy anime? The age demographic matters less so long as it gets you laughing.

2025-01-28 13:23:29 +0000 UTCOmg is this a sign to finish the last seasons? :)) this is a fun series but it also very touching, challenging the society and a lot of things. And yes, having powers become the new normal in this universe. I'm glad you enjoyed ^^

2025-01-28 13:23:27 +0000 UTCI actually prefer dub. Same with Arcane, it does distract in my opinion. Additionally it might spoil current scene

2025-01-28 13:14:10 +0000 UTCIm not sure how many shows will fit your current niche in the long run. Haunting of Hill house would be a fairly logical choice. In the animated world its more difficult i am a fan of animated shows of all kinds, but a true critisism of the medium is its characters tend to be more pure expressions of single (or a few) ideas and ultimately less human, of course there are many exceptions but they are hard to find. This is why arcane season 1 stands out. I would perhaps recommend psychopass (season 1 only), it still has the single or few ideas thing going on, but there are enough unique ideas, perspectives and exploration of human thinking that it could hold some interest. As far as MHA goes, solid heartfelt show, fun take on American style superheroes by Japan. I won't lead your opinion by stating any more than that.
