As far as the question of if it helps to know you're not the only one feeling that way or having those issues id say yes but also no. People experiencing this would never want anyone else to have to experience it. Because we know how much it sucks and how it negatively impacts your life but at the same time it's is comforting to know you're not alone and to hear it expressed so vividly through music really resonates with you and forms those connections. Now on the topic of his mother. He has shared a few details about her in some of his songs. In trauma he opens with "haven't talked to mom in like a year for all I know she could be dead and id be lying if I said there ain't relief in thinking that" then later says "after all these nights alone police on the phone either brother's suicide attempts or your moms overdosed" in another song from the album that you haven't heard yet called the sound of falling he says "But now I'm starting to feel like my mom when I was younger Maybe it's genetic, maybe she was really taking all that shit to fix a headache" so that should give you an idea of what he was saying in this track!
