Arcane - what do you want to see next.

I have some options moving forward. I can record my episode 4 reaction later today and put that up.

Or I can update Powder's and Vander's formulation based on what has happened in episodes 2 and 3. I would then have a choice whether to do that myself in a video or whether to live stream it so people can join in.

If the formulations have to be done prior to me watching episode 4, and they are live streamed, then that will knock everything back a bit whilst I find a time for most viewers of the live stream (probably 1-2 weeks away).

Or I can update all the formulations at a different point, such as the end of episode 4 or the end of episode 6, which means I get the reactions out for the main episodes more quickly. It just might be more fun to update formulations more frequently as that will show the changes more.

I'm not sure if I have explained this very well but I think you know what I am getting at here.

Leave some thoughts and comments below.

I want to echo the sentiment that this show is intended to be digested in acts of 3 episodes at a time. So normally i'd suggest you at least watch each set of episode 3 at a time. THAT BEING SAID, don't be afraid to do a breakdown/formulation for episode 3 checkmark, then also after Episode 4 because of the drastic tone shift. I will say though, in order to keep the audience that you got from arcane reactions and transform them into therapeutic listeners, you probably should "tag on" hte formulation/breakdown as a "post-reaction" discussion at the end or release both the episode and its formulation on the same day so that those who are excited to see the next episode dont feel like they were robbed of their christmas present by being given socks in a box. (even though, much like therapy, as you get older, you start to appreciate getting those socks and actually value/need them more and more :D )

Cyber

I want to echo the sentiment that you react to each 'arc' of 3 episodes as they were intended to be watched together - and then break things down.

tolson frantzen

I would Love to See your reactions to the three acts and then formulation Updates after each of the three acts. They are Intended to be watched three Episodes for one Act for a reason. Act1 - Formulation Act2 - Update Act3 - Update Would also Love to See more in depth content about Silco i think He has much to offer to discuss too.

Gina

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Please feel free to comment more often as I really want this to be community led (hence I ask so many questions about what to do next). I'll probably do somethings via poll at some point so look out for them, and thanks for being a part of this.

StuBoy

It looks like this sentiment has already been shared a bunch but i'd love to see an update on powder's formulation and maybe a vi one before episode 4.

Ian Moore

Personally, I'd love to see a bit more organic digestion of the content via getting through more episodes, then returning to formulations and analysis as soon as either a big shift happens which necessitates re-contextualizing your formulations. Getting through more episodes would open a wide array of new details and perspectives on these characters. That said, if you haven't done a fleshed out update after finishing act3, that could certainly be worthwhile considering the drastic shifts which happened since episode 1.

Harris

Personally I'd be super interested to see the formulation for Powder/Vi before going into Ep4. I LOVE the episode reactions but hearing the full summary of where you are at before going into the episode is super educational and I love hearing the formulations.

Brandon Van Dzura

I'm absolutely in for doing some reflection on the show right now before you jump into the second act. I came here for that type of content and I think that episode 4 really starts off something brand new that would be better compartmentalized with your formulations done for the first act and you settled this as the end of an act by itself.

Matěj Macek

Formulation without a livestream and then episode four when you have time would be my recommendation! Powder and Vi are the two formulations that i’m the most curious about

Kathleen D

I agree!

Benjamin

hmmm... it would be interesting to see your update on formulation of Powder for this arc, because you can take into consideration all that happened and it would give you a reference to see how it all matches up in the succeeding episodes. episode 3 is one of the major ends in the show and is a good point to refresh on everything we know so far. your input as a trauma therapist really shines a light on a lot of things that maybe us regular viewers knew there was something off, but you are able to point out the scenarios and instances that it happens, or events that might be affecting the characters, that we also learn off your expertise in that way. also, whichever arrangement you decide for your videos, you can do the formulations without a livestream so you can concentrate on it from you unique POV as someone going into Arcane blind to both the show and game lore.

donglordthe3rd

I'd say react to episode 4 and then do a formulation on powder and vi after that. Just because I think the shift in powder between the events in ep 3 and where we find her in ep 4 would be super interesting to get your perspective on. It will also make sure the audience you have gathered that are mostly here for reactions won't lose interest. I'm very happy with the way you have constructed your formulation videos so far and would be happy for you to continue with them in that format and maybe wait to do a livestream at the end of season 1. But at the end of the day it is entirely up to you how you want to go about making your content and I'm sure everyone will be happy with whatever you choose to do

Sarah Hamilton

The episode reactions are my favs, but the formulations are super educational and I’m really interested how you update them as we learn more about a person!

Major Jabroni

As much as I am excited for ep. 4, I think you should do the formulations now after ep. 3. A lot changes after each arc and I think it would be more beneficial to do it now. That said, your content is great and am exivered for whatever you upload next. Please do, whatever is fun for you.

Lu

I only listened to it today, its a bangerrrr!!!

Elijah

Or even, listening to Goodbye by Ramsey without sobbing. (The song from the Ep3 credits)

Matt Sturgeon

For instance, what is Powder and Vi's mental state at/after the end of Ep3?

Matt Sturgeon

Whilst I can't wait to see the next reactions, I think you'll benefit from having a solid formulation of the characters you're interested in. That said, do what you're inspired to do.

Matt Sturgeon

I can' wait for ep4, 5 & 6 ractions, and i would suggest doing formulations after ep6. So excited!

copyto

I would probably suggest skipping the Vander Formulation and do Vi and Powder's instead. Then do the episode 4 Reaction. Then after episode 4 you can do the Vander one. I just think that Vi and Powders formulations will be more important to do now, before the start of Act 2, but at the same time I do think you shouldn't wait too long before getting into that second Act, hence the reason I would suggest skipping Vander's.

Vincent Rice

this is a really strong point

James Anderson

I like this idea — quick update to formulations when you can without a stream, and then the episode whenever you can get to it. At the end of the day I agree with everyone that you offer a different approach to Arcane than anyone else so I’m excited to see the formulations, but also very excited to see your reaction to the next episode!

Kathleen D

While very excited for the ep4 reactions, I think in between the 3 episode arcs would be the ideal spots to update formulations

C_Forde

Since this is the end of Act 1, things will change very rapidly if you watch episode 4 before doing the formulation. I really like the idea of formulations after each Act, and love the idea of interactive livestreams, but since it will take a while to set up, how about doing a solo formulation for Act one and then ask the community about livestream times over the course of Act 2 so by the end of it you can have your first livestream for Act 2 formulations? Oh and Merry Christmas! Thanks for the interesting content.

Tim McCabe

Hi, this is my first time commenting as a Patreon, and I just wanted to say how much I love your content! I discovered you through your first Arcane video, but I’ve been diving into all of your older stuff too. I’m just excited to see what you do next whether it’s redoing Powder's and Vander's formulation or your reaction to the next episode, I’m going to watch it no matter what it is!

Wild Wizard Studios

I would suggest not doing a live stream for the formulations this time around. It's a good idea, but I think it's important to keep the momentum up to take full advantage of your resent gains on youtube. So save the live stream for the end of next arc.

onemile

would prefer the formulation but since the general the option is rather split between updating powders formulation and episode 4. I will just say do what you perfer. But please dont delay for a live stream. A livestream would be cool but not at the cost of large delays.

San Messain

PLease upload the reactions first. Im waiting eagerly every day! Love Ya

San Messain

This is the opinion that i 100% agree with. he can always recap seasons episodes and then do formulations per act, dosent have to anticipate whats coming next for it to be good formulations, after all reacting is the main content. also I've been desperately waiting for act 2 not just episode 4 so i hope he reacts to that and uploads it today.

Bochora

The reaction of the show must be the primary focus in my opinion. Then after full watch, after tasting all the pallets that the show can offer, formulate opinion. But... As I said before, formulation can be done early, although I find it little precipitated, it can be used as a filler between reactions but must not come before the priority of reaction.

Mr.Furukawa1

I would say follow your heart and instincts. If the events inspire you enough that you feel like you need to deep dive into the events of act 1 and update or create new formulations, then that will be worth watching. If it is out of a feeling of obligation, then maybe less so. If you just feel like you need to see what happens next, then by all means watch episode 4. These types of videos are more fun when the reactor is doing what they want to do. Also I would not delay things for live stream purposes. There will be opportunities ahead for that when it works out in your schedule better.

Joe

I agree!!

ヒマ ワリ

Arcane is structured in acts of three, so I would suggest making the formulations prior to episode 4 (and maybe update them after every act). I know a lot of people just want the new reaction now because they mainly care about that, but I think the overall enjoyment would be greater if we give the series more time and see it getting analyzed through your eyes (at least this is what I am here for). I also like the formulations in video form more because the live chat could spoil things and the ongoing discussion with chat could make it more chaotic rather than make it a better experience.

ヒマ ワリ

Thinking on it more I think that just before reacting to episode 4 in the same video making some quick predictions on what we might see could be the way to go

Last Thing

Am I the only one here that doesn't think doing a formulation every 3 episode is the way to go? I think it should be a more natural process and less forced. He should decide himself when the right time is to update the formulations. Could be after 1 specific episode or after 4 consecutive episodes. I understand the acts provide a clean cut off point, but sometimes the context added later or during the act can warrant a formulation.

Duke

What a question and so many conflicting emotions! The rational part of me says update/create the formulations first then continue the series. As for live streaming, I think it could be a cool bonus, and I look forward to it, but not at the expense of delaying more amazing Arcane content from you, if that makes sense.

Alexander Ihle

But the longer one waits on episode 4 the more little details they are prone to forget so it might be better to do it now...

Last Thing

I'm conflicted I think episode 4 is a more appealing video to me but I think doing formulations first would give a better understanding of the things that happen in episode 4 leading to a better final product. Not that I wouldn't watch a formulation but the episode reactions are the big hitters so i simultaneously want them now but want them to be the best possible.

Last Thing

The more a reactor has fun, the more enjoyable it is for me. So whatever you decide, I'm down.

Leo Rover

I also want to add that while I think your personal reactions to the episods are unique, reacting to Arcane episodes is not unique in and of itself, there's other creators out there doing it all the time. Your perspective is really fresh and that's why we want to see more of it, BUT as far as I know you're the only one, even amongst other therapist channels, doing formulations. This might be your selling point, so to speak, and it definitely distinguishes you from other channels. On a less marketing side, it is just invaluable for us fans to have this perspective - nobody else offers it. As much as I am excited and impatient to see you react more, I really think if you don't do/update Vi and Powder's formulations now, it will be a missed opportunity.

Lily Luna

I'm looking forward to Episode 4, but I think updating Powder’s formulation right now and maybe putting one out for Vi now, before knowing anything else about what happens next, would be invaluable!! If you wait until after episode 4 it will colour your interpretation and perspective too much. I am really interested in understanding the characters where they're at at this exact point in the show.

Lily Luna

I think focusing on powders formulation after Episode 4 would be more effective. Additionally, I believe a 1-2 week delay would not be ideal for YouTube viewers. I also see the value of doing it before episode 4 so you can make predictions as to how powder will react to the events of episode 3, but that would be mostly for entertainment value instead of actually improving your analysis (which is fine, I mean this is entertainment).

Duke

for me updating the formulations and than episode 4, you should do a formulation for each act (each act have 3 episodes).

Nate

Formulation then episodes is the best way to do it !! I’m on to the streaming option !!!

Carol Grein Ericson

Episode 4. I think it makes sense to do a bunch of formulations after every three episodes.

Christian F

can we have non-streamed formulations prior to episode 4 followed by streamed formulations after? thoughts on this approach: - there’s a high likelihood you’ll get episode 4 spoiled if the stream occurs before episode 4 because it’s events color the way people view the characters, and they’ll likely apply that view to the streamed convo - i’m really interested in how the pre-episode-4 formulation might setup a framework for understanding episode 4’s events - part of the fun of arcane is how well the storytellers circumvent and/or fulfill expectations, so seeing your thoughts before episode 4 can allow the community to relive their own experiences having speculated and theorized for what felt like forever while awaiting episode 4 — the episodes were released three at a time, so there was an excruciating/exciting wait between episode 3 and 4 for us

James Anderson

I think updating the formulation of Powder would be a good idea, as a lot of stuff is going to happen now that the first ARC of season 1 is finished.

CatTharsis

I'm here for any of those, but I do have some insights on the formulations: - Powder's update will probably feel more meaningful after episode 4; - Vander's update kinda feels like it's now or never, for obvious reasons; 😅

Luís

I'd say episode 4 first, followed by Powder's formulation. Lots of changes in episode 4.

Lara M.

I'd personally like you to add to Powder's formulation after this event. I'd like to know how you would evaluate someone with abandonment issues facing the reality of that, and the impact it would have on her sense of identity because there is a time jump for Episode 4. It would be interesting to see if you can predict what is to come for Powder and how trauma can impact our identity.

Craig

Super desperate for episode 4! But the idea of a live stream for the formulations doesn't sound bad!

LiL' CuTzZz

Generally I would like to see you update the formulations every 3 episodes, i don't really care for live streamed content or audience interaction during videos so im not fussed about that sort of thing. As for whether or not you should do a formulation now or after episode 4 (specifically because of the uniqueness of episode 4 vs 3 without going into spoilers), both are good and will lead to significantly different outcomes. Maybe a poll? I would vote for you to do it after episode 4 (i think the information you get in episode 4 will lead to some very interesting conversation about Powder, Vi, Silco and more!)

Patrick Dawson

I tink episode 4 is better as things are gonna change a lot

Rukario

I am dying to see more episodes the thing is they are treated as 3 acts so I feel it needs to be 3 episodes then a break down then 3 more etc….

Thomas Cheetham

Episode 4

Bochora

Episode 4! I'm just that desperate for it.. I think if you really want to you can do other things, but keeping the reactions close together helps keep the audience from the last one? If that makes sense
