I was thinking more on this episode today, Do you think its probable Silco set up a situation to "save" vi from enforcers as a way to get Vander to be more receptive to his veiwpoint.

Last Thing

Joining this Patreon to support a great therapist whose other channel (which doesn't get enough love) is admittedly my favorite/most useful). That all beind said, anything that touches on trauma, mental health challenges and "overcoming" (maybe willingness to tolerate) adversity would be great.

Benjamin O'Blenis

What else would you like to see Lyza?

StuBoy

Found the channel from your Ren stuff, stayed for Arcane. Would absolutely love to see you analyse and react to other stuff though.

Lyza

Ive just added watch the world burn (I think that is what it is called) to my music react list.

StuBoy

Mostly arcane because i think there is so much for you to unpack! Would also Love of you react to more Falling in Reverse Songs, thats how i found you!

Gina

Thanks Yvonne. To be honest this is how I imagined the channel being - connect pop culture to psych theory especially trauma. It just happened to go in a music reaction direction, and then slowly over time I got more and more comments about talking less about psych and more reacting. Then I tried putting up some deeper dives which performed terribly (and quite honestly wasnt worth the time and energy), and now suddenly I find myself in this position, which is where I wanted to be in the first place, but at the same time dont want to alienate the very people that got the channel to where it was prior to Arcane.

StuBoy

Thanks Patrick. Im also very mindful that the first 10k or so subs on my YT channel were there specifically for certain artists and they helped build the channel.

StuBoy

I like the idea of taking notes loud. Actually doing notes collaboratively with clients is becoming quite popular now. Especially if the notes are in the form of some sort of formulation or shared understanding. That way you get the shared learning, and understanding of whats going on and the notes (so the client knows excatly whats in them) all in one go! I always think as a therapist I should be transparent so I tend to air most things I am thinking!

StuBoy

Oh wow that all sounds really cool! Would love to have your input into some of these formulations we are doing on here!

StuBoy

Yes, I think people prefer reactions (especially music) with a sprinkle of psychology, rather than full on analysis. I can tell because my therapy channel doesnt do very well! Probably because its a bit heavy for a lot of people although I do try and make it as accessible as possible.

StuBoy

Direct message me a track that you want.

StuBoy

Thanks. Yeah regarding music reactions thats what I want to do, deeper dives into artists catalogues and trying to understand them more rather than the odd track here and there (apart from when people do priority requests)! I really want to do some Slipknot so might do a track and see how it lands. To be honest I prefer the heavier, guitar based tracks over things like Juice Wrld. But I also like the artsist that talk so openly about trauma like Ekoh and NF so im sticking with them. And twenty one pilots has the whole lore behind it which i also love, so they are in!

StuBoy

Would you mind direct messaging me about these with maybe links or where to get hold of them (or full titles), that way it wont get lost in this comment thread.

StuBoy

Also it would be amazing to see a reaction to The Curse of the sad mummy by league of legends a music video and or Annie origins by league of legends a short video with an amazing story and art style

Mattias Jonasson

Arcane is amazing and such a gold mine for insights, but it is limited to the 18 episodes for now (the next Riot/Fortiche show is years off at this point). Other shows would be great, like Haunting of Hill House or Breaking Bad (I love Buffy and it has a devoted YouTube reaction audience, but it's 144 episodes, so it takes a long time). Your music reactions are also great; most reactors cycle around artists rather than doing deep dives, so that would be my suggestion. Bring Me The Horizon has wonderful songs for a therapist to react to, as well as Slipknot, Linkin Park, and Jinjer.

Martin Waits

Some more Aurora would be cool

I found you through Arcane, such a cool case study! But I’m here to learn more about myself. I liked your channel because you have such a calming way of talking, but youre a great educator and Im looking forward to learning more about therapy and our responses and behaviors to the world

i came for arcane, but i'm generally interested in psychology (i mainly want to learn terminology so that i can talk about my feelings), so i'll probably watch other things too. i know you do reactions, which aren't analyses, but honestly it's probably easier for me to learn things if you just occasionally mention something from psychology than if the whole video was about such things. i don't really have anything specific that i would ask you to do, but if you happened to want to react to some songs by aviators, i'd love that. but i don't know how much potential there is for reaction in those or if they match your taste, so maybe it's not a good recommendation. they're just the songs that made me cry (there's also wasteland from arcane which made me cry more than i thought was possible, but the song itself is probably kinda spoilers for the show, so maybe it's better if you listen to it after watching arcane). also i loved the formulations, maybe i'll learn enough to do one for myself and see if it helps. and i'll keep in mind that it's a dynamic thing, so even if it doesn't help immediately, it could help later if i improve it.

I came with Arcane but specifically for the in-depth formulation you did with Powder. I am a psychologist myself (well, I'm a student counsellor now but for education) but I went into research instead of clinical. I loved getting back into more clinical psychology topics from an active therapist - especially because you also provided some sources to look at. Followed your other channel as well. I'd love to see you do formulations for other characters from other shows too (where they merit the close scrutiny as much as Arcane does of course). I have always loved literary analysis and one of the reasons why I got into psychology as a kid in the first place was a desire to "understand" how people's personalities worked so a mix of both is basically catnip to me. Two of my favourite assignments in my bachelor's were 1) writing a report with patient history, diagnosis, treatment plan and prognosis for a fictional character of our choosing (went with Jinta Yadomi from Anohana where I basically ignored the paranormal confirmation at the ending), and 2) writing a family psychological report for a fictional family of our choosing (I was reading The Name of the Blade trilogy by Zoë Marriott at the time and main character's relationship with her father, grandfather and family legacy were central to it so I couldn't help it). So, you can tell why I like that kind of content.

Generally mostly Arcane, but also for you actually because I like your insights on stuff and love that you, as a therapist, are very emotional yourself. As far as I can tell, you really focus on the emotional side of things. Came here from 21 Pilots The Line reaction but I intend to stay even after Arcane. I really wish you the best of Journey's and I am happy to have discovered you. I am in therapy myself (for clinical depression). My therapist always takes notes loud and I find that quite interesting lol. Love when you go into deep details.

Kabidu

Obviously Arcane, BUT you have a good presentation of your ideas so im interested in what your interested in, the formulations were very interesting. Also some advice keep doing the music (even though im not specifically here for that) its what you started with and it is a good format for more frequent uploads, given that most songs are less than 10 mins long.

Patrick Dawson

Definitely arcane

I'm emailing you a screenshot because I can't post pictures here lol

It says his content his owned by Virgin

StuBoy

I came here for the Arcane content, but I don't expect it to be all your content. (I mean, it could be. Riot Games has plans for other series and Arcane fans love close readings of the material through every lens we can get our mitts on.) I'm not personally here for music reactions because that's not my thing, but it was your reaction to The Line that made me want to see your reaction to the show itself. I really love how you connect elements of popular culture to theories of trauma. I've read a lot about the subject as a layperson, and I've applied a lot to my own situation, but there's always more to learn. I want to connect with other trauma survivors in positive ways that move us toward healing. Your reactions and formulations for Arcane communicates a lot of psychological theory through the story. I can visualize adverse events, the seeds of trauma, the complications as we get older, how we can use it and move through it. And gives any Arcane fans with the same needs a common language. That seems really important to me. And something I don't see a lot of content creators focusing on. You have a real ability to have thoughtful, detailed reactions to the content you choose to showcase. And tbh, your reactions so far to the first episodes of Arcane are so insightful about the story itself, I can tell that you are someone who notices what's important to me. Okay, this is longer than it should be already and I don't have any conclusion, just my thoughts that I hope can help you make the content you love for a community that can support your efforts.

Yvonne Rathbone

Vin jay is fully independent so idk why you would get copyright? There's plenty of reactors that reacted to him. AR just did his new song on stream today with no issues

JennTheGem

Ive got loads of Arcane stuff coming. Im actually looking more the other way - who am I leaving out by doing mostly Arcane stuff.

StuBoy

Ekohs a given already so didnt bother adding it to the list. Vin Jays a possibility although his label was particularly difficult with the copyright on the one I did for Youtube and nearly ended up with court action so a little hesitant. Not heard of witt lowry. Linkin Park is a good shout!

StuBoy

I am here for mental health related songs but of all different kind of genres. I am personally not drawn to juice. But Ren, Chinchilla, Linkin Park etc. I also enjoy watching arcane with you. I am T Trying to watch your videos as fast as I can. But sometimes it takes a few days because I really want to pay attention to them :) I would also find it interesting to see you playing "life is strange true colors" or even life is strange 2 (just an example of course)

Diana Janovsky

More reactions on fiction characters similar to The last of Us…

Carol Grein Ericson

I am a huge Arcane fan so I am here mainly for the reaction and analysis. I think the analysis is really interesting with how you do it. I get to learn a bit more about psychology in general. I probably won't stay on as a member after Arcane is done, but please don't let that discouraged you. Your content is genuine and good.
