The twist of Syr being Freya has been teased even in season 1. The first time Bell met Syr he felt someone watching him. You can see Freyas eyes for a short time and when he turns around he meets Syr. Also the grimoire in season 1 where Bell learns firebolt. You see the grimoire in Feya's hands and suddenly it's in the tavern. Pretty much all the time you see Syr it's Freya in disguise. Horn rarely appears as Syr. The date was mostly Freya disguised as Syr. Only at the time that Horn tried to attack Bell she was disguising herself as Syr. Interesting is also that the Freya you see in Season 5 Episode 2 (standing on top of the pillar while Bell is having his date with syr) is acually Horn disguised as Freya. That's why Bell was frightened by her stare because she hates him and he felt her hostility.
