Tides might have not been as popular as Death Healer, but it truly tested my skills as a writer in a way Death Healer didn't and I'm super proud of having gotten here while being satisfied with the story.
Anyway, a few announcements in order of importance:
The schedule of Tides doesn't change. One chapter a day until we're done with the story. Some might have gotten worried by seeing the word 'Epilogue.' Tomorrow Chapter 91 comes out.
I'm writing a new novel! Since I hit my stride with Tides and I had this as a sort of 'study' I did for Death Healer, I thought it would be cool to publish it. I'm not going to keep chapters on Patreon for now, not until I get more of a backlog and only in case people are interested in it enough to pay for it.
The new novel, Phoenix Healer, is sort of an exploration of the 'self-regenerating fighter-healer' concept without all the political drama that was present in Death Healer and ended up being the bulk of the story. In fact, I've been plotting Death Healer's rewrite, but I always end up tied up by wanting to make it more about a self-regenerating healer than a healer who heals, well, death. There's a good chance that Death Healer will end up with Lily having necromantic powers, among other things, but that really wanted to make me write something that could quench the 'self-regenerating fighter-healer' thirst.
The novel comes out on Monday and I'll publish another announcement when it's out! For now, enjoy the cover and the blurb!

Sounds cool. One of the things I loved about Azarinth is there was no one world threat. It felt like she could move around and explore. So many isekai are like you have to save the world from just this guy. Azarinth did have that, but the story flowed until then. It felt more like she could do as she pleased and had some agency. One for example said their character would not just survive, but thrive. By being in fight after fight and having no agency of their own and being pushed along. Really. I'll look forward to seeing this one.

Regarding Death Healer I always thought she was going to wind up draining or 'healing' life away using death magic, and using some form of non-light based, likely Life magic, to heal herself or build up some kind of reserve of health/energy. A phoenix sounds like a more simple, fiery variation and should be fun to read about.
