Jake or Elwood? 😂😂 I’m not huge on resolutions for a new year. I think that’s because the quickest way to get me to not do something is by telling me to do it. Even if the person telling me to do it is me! 🤣 I usually just have goals, intentions, or aspirations. This last year I decided to do something fun. I sought to pet as many golden retrievers as I could in honor of my late father. (He LOVED Goldens) I am proud to report that in 2024, I pet 123 beautiful, silly, and lovable Golden Retrievers! 😍🥰 I’ll probably see how many goldens I can pet this year as well because that was fun. Additionally, I think my main goal is to find my way back to some things that used to bring me joy. And perhaps find my way around a new normal that makes me happy. 😊 Wishing you all the best in 2025! ♡

I usually just make changes as & when it feels necessary & fitting regardless of the time of year. But actually, one thing I do want to figure out this year (and have already started on in 2024) is how to set up my finances as best as possible. Also, if I may impart a piece of wisdom to all of you … A wise person once told me, when I was really desperate for a change in my life but was afraid that I’d stay stuck if I didn’t do the “right” things, he told me that as long as I do SOMETHING in the direction of my goal(s), I would inevitably improve my situation because action paired with intent always moves you forward. The journey might turn out differently than expected, but every change will be a step up in some way. And so far, this has definitely proven to be right in my life. I thought I’d share in case anyone needs to hear this just as much I did back then. ❤️

2025-01-01 03:24:52 +0000 UTCWell, my focus for 2025 is pretty standard: read 25 books, get fit, use more of what I already have, save $, learn guitar, try to be best version of myself whilst still giving grace to self and others... Someone suggested making a bingo card of 25 things (24 if you have the free space in the center) you want to do this year, which could be as silly as eating a corndog, to serious as setting a financial goal, such as saving a specific $ amount. As you accomplish those goals, you can cross them off the score card. When you've completed five goals in row, column or diagonal, you've got BINGO! So even if you don't get the full card, it still feels like an accomplishment to get bingo and can be more fun than a list that feels like a chore. Resolutions or not, hope everyone has an awesome and fabulous year!!

Which has gotten a lot better over the past 2 years.... and just enjoy the peace in spending time with myself.... this kinda remembers me of a quote a friend told me a few years back and it goes.... " you never spend so much time with others than you do with yourself!" Long story short.... just enjoy life to the fullest🥰😋🥰🤪

My biggest drawback was my fear of bully seniors and attendings. But this year, since I have finally found the courage to swim with the sharks, my only resolution for myself is, no one shall ever make me feel inferior without my consent. Also, know how to play the game, not how to win the game. 😌 Happy new year, everybody!
