Yesterday, I made my way out of Yellowstone and headed south into Idaho. With much of the state consisting of mountain ranges, I wanted to avoid further winter freeze. . Following the valleys south, I made my way to Driggs, Idaho, located just to the west of the Teton Mountain range in Wyoming. Using iOverlander (an amazing boondocking app), I touched down at one of the best campsites yet on this trip. With green grass, an amazing view of the Tetons, reception (which is rare), pit toilets, on the banks of the Teton River, and FREE (!!!), this campsite will serve as home base for the next few days as I attempt to find the best location to photograph sunrise over the Teton range.
It's rainy in Driggs today, so much of the day will consist of sitting in the van and waiting.
Good morning!

Rainey Bridge: FREE campground located just miles from Driggs, Idaho, on the Teton River.
View from Apollo at the Rainey Bridge campsite.

Clouds sweep across the Teton Range during golden hour, while driving into Rainey Bridge.

A moose who has seemed to have had a rough winter, just a couple hundred yards from my campsite in the Teton River.
