In the last few episodes and this one, Grandmama Hester kept trying to get Wednesday to come stay with her. Why does she suddenly want her so close to long thought dead daughter, who seems obsessed with having her dead?

Wednesday and Enid is starting to feel like a slow burn and is reminding me of another certain show that did this. They don't want to rush anything but are still laying buildup and foundation. Maybe platonic, maybe not. Whatever it is, they are getting the screentime; camera framing, chemistry, story focus, character development.

I don't know, I kinda stopped hoping for Wenclair when I read about the creators 'having no plans to explore a queer romance between Wednesday and Enid'. Disappointed. If it's a show about friendships like they claim, then, I don't want to see a Wyler romance happen at all either.
On the other hand, I do love Wenclair's friendship as it is, I just think it could've been interesting to see it going romantically.

Im not a huge wenclair shipper but my god it would've been so stupid for Wednesday not to go after Enid. Like WDYM

The twist of Thing being Isaac’s hand was absolutely insane lmao, and yeah I love Enid and Wednesday, they’re so adorable!
Also, I was wondering, are you planning on reacting to the latest Mighty Nein trailer?

Alright, so final thoughts.
I think I still like season 1 more as a whole, even with the Wednesday love triangle bs. This season felt like they were trying to juggle too much, and got a little over ambitious. I also don't like how they did Enid's sacrifice at the end. You mean to tell me she transforms having to dig Weds out and then doesn't at least help her take on the Hydes before bolting? She doesn't transform again having to save Weds from the Hydes again? It just felt... eh? I also just didn't care for the Hyde storyline in general and I'm not looking forward to them bringing it back again next season (most likely). I was looking forward to a Tyler trying to get revenge spree and they turned it into whatever the heck weirdness his mom and uncle had going on.
Also, not entirely sure how true this is, but apparently the writers originally just had Fester going after Enid at the end and it was Jenna that had to be like "uh, no? Wednesday should go too." Again, allegedly that's how that went down but if so.... Thank you Jenna for actually giving a shit (also just super funny that apparently next season is going to be Weds trying to save Enid...again. Like, come on, they're doing this on purpose).
BUT! That said, I will say that I feel like there were also some improvements. They let Tim do more of his Burton-y things (stop motion story time, literally watching a man burn to death etc etc). The body swap episode was a real highlight. Grandmama was fun. Getting Weems back (even if the logic for it was bs) was great. Agnes was a delightful addition to the cast and I really hope we see more of her in the future. I love this little trio. Bianca getting more screen time was great. Fleshing out Ajax a little more? Great. I actually found Dort to be a pretty effective villain. Enid's wolf also just looked so much better this season.
So, a mixed bag, but so was the first season if we're honest even if the first season's script felt tighter.
I am interested to see what goes on next season, especially with Hester apparently having been keeping her daughter locked up all this time.
