"F*** lady get a hobby" i laughed so hard!

Tsu Aloe Vera

I keep forgetting that Elijah's the reactor I watch who is the most observant and the best at predictions. Like, no one else I've watched immediately (or ever) went for "oh they look similar, bet they're family" and so quickly got to "she must be his daughter, right?" I certainly didn't, not until Kaylie mentioned hearing about Scanlan from her mother. I just thought "oh she's also a gnome, neat" and that was it. When it came to her figuring he'd run, I just thought she just focused on different parts of the stories people told about him, while the others just focused on the good parts.

Fun fact - On average normal, villagers in D&D have like 4-10 hp at most, Grog by the end of the Campaign had 277 HP. That man is a TANK

I am still figthing the urge to not just skip to it... But I will not(t)... Hopefully.

I would love to see Elijah and Mosco watch Heavy Metal just for the B-17 story. That shit traumatized my 10-yr old mind, great stuff. 😁

Zefram Mann

I love your reactions. And I feel as if you very adequately portrayed the entire fandom on Grog's "Vox Machina... F*** SH** UP!!!!"

Kiki Bee

And yeah the Matron is DEFINATLY better than the ,,Devil"...

Invincible is DARK... Both in terms of themes that it shows and just general gore. (Like if you think this - Grog being impaled - is too much, than Invincible is like times 10-20 in showing things like this) I just binged all three season a couple of days ago, and let's just say... It was a LOT.

LikeCat

“He’s just dealing with the Devil herself.” I assure you The Raven Queen is WAY nicer than the Devil lol. Judging from her reaction this episode I’m really hoping she gives Invincible on Amazon a shot.

Eliteguard99

I believe sam literally wrote the script for the scene. He has written a few episodes as did other cast members. I dont think Matt had written any of the episodes. And not sure hr will care if someone else helped write it lol.

Suplee215

Exactly, you can’t use logic and reason to explain why the Feywild works the way it does because the Feywild (like the Fey themselves) don’t obey logic and reason.

Eliteguard99

The Kevdak fight is totally worth finding a "table-to-screen" comparison, now that you've seen it. The original version was every bit as epic.

There are situation when luck (or the ,,equal" to it) isn't an option... Not even for ,,Lucky" individuals

Fun Fact for this episode: In the game, Vox Machina survived this fight by the skin of their teeth. By the time Vex pulled that stunt, everyone was on their last legs. She herself nearly died to even get into position to do it. And Grog came very, VERY close to missing Kevdak altogether. It was one of those fights that the party only survives due to a mix of clever moves and sheer dumb luck.

UnluckyDragon

She did... Him. But in all seriousness, she does not want anything bad, she is comletely neutral in this whole thing... Persistant? Yes. ,,Mysterious"? To a degree, but she is a Goddess. Bad? No, not even close. She is just doing her job... (And wants him to do his as well)

LikeCat

I will say though.. the good guy does NOT have to win in this show ;) That's the whole point of it being based on a dnd campaign lol There is no plot armor.

Ryan Brooks

lol.. telling the Matron to "get a hobby" that was good :D

Chris (darkwater)

"I would like to rage" was Travis's catchphrase during Campaign 1, and he says it exactly twice in the show. Once in episode 2 as a wink nod to the audience during the fight with the dragon, and then here as an absolutely crowning moment of badassery.

Ferret

Killbox really is a top tier episode for sure. Fighting family, in more ways than one. 😱⚔️ “Wait. I’m Daddy?!” That moment has all’ve us fans. Elijah is like: Yes I knew it! Valid. 🤣

Liam Gradwell

I mean, technically, technically him and Matt wrote that scene! :p

Aineyn

I love when the rest of VM arrive and they all reveal themselfs, all four of them do a cool ,,action hero" moment. Percy has his guns ready, Kiki shapeshift into a tiger, Vex has Fenthris (the bow) powered up... And Vax's armor glows. While it is an obvious way to show his strenght, in universe when his armor glows like that it is (usually) to show HER influence... And they are about to slougther a bunch of half-orcs who are working with a dragon. A very powerfull dragon.

It gets even more awkward because that was the scene they used for doing auditions for the role and Sam was the casting director too. So here he is trying to make it clear he didn't write the scene himself just to have this audition.

Suplee215

*Semi-spoilery stuff, I just want to get my head canon out of my system* Here we go: I love that because of his - less then ideal unbringing - and his general social axeity, his GO TO method of ,,making sure that my friends are okay emotionaly" is him saying: ,,Here is my cat (most of ths time), just PLEASE do not(t) kick it into oblivion"

LikeCat

Fun fact: this episode was rather awkward for Sam Reigal (voice and player of Scanlan) for a couple different reasons. First was doing the scenes with Aisling Franciosi (voice of Kaylie) and having to explain to her the full context of Kaylie and Scanlan's relationship. Credit to Aisling, she apparently handled everything with good humor. Second, when the show was airing on Amazon, Sam would watch it with his kids. If I remember correctly, for the "Daddy" scene, he did ask them to leave the room.

Thunder

Unsure. More powerful fey creatures can control it. As for how long a familiar may be gone if they live there full time is not touched on by rules. There is a narritive telephone and one shot about the character I thibk you're talking about but unsure how Canon

Suplee215

Does it work the same for fey-creatures as well?... Let's say for instans an animal familiar who (sometimes) only has 1 Hit Point.

LikeCat

Oh my god, I can not tell you how loud I was screeching "OH GOD! STOP PAUSING IT!" during that scene of Grog getting pushed through a wooden pike - oh, Pike through the heart, I get the symbolism!. Like, you paused on so many images that made me go "WHY?! JUST LET IT RUN! IT'LL BE WORSE IF YOU LINGER ON IT!" Did make me laugh in retrospect, but ooof... that was brutal. But yeah, rad episode all around! Very fun to see reactions for.

{L} Frances

Next episode is by far my favorite... I am not ready for Elijah's reaction to the ,,conversation"

LikeCat

Not fully needed but just to explain the mechanics of the feywild, its not as simple as 3 weeks equals 3 days. Time just moves differently in the feywild and you never know if you were gone for 10 seconds or 10 years despite. Even if you're there for a day you might come back and only an hour passed. Fey wild is tricky.

Suplee215

The moment Travis was given the "How do you want to do this?" on Kevdak was so satisfying. You can just feel the joy of the cast emanating from the screen. XD Defintely check out the clip of that moment if you have the chance!

Dragon0921

FOR STRONGJAW!

Chet Bliese

Ah, Killbox my beloved. One of the most iconic episodes in the live campaign, and one of the most iconic episodes in this adaptation. You get a wonderful blend of brutal fight scenes, heart touching character moments, laughs, and the cherry on top: another damn cliffhanger

Rye-Ah

I will say this her knowing who Scanlan was is pretty easy ppl know who Vox Machina are and Scanlan sleeps around soooo

Kisuke01

YEEEES! I've been waiting for this one, WOO!
