Figured the first time I accidentaly stumbled upon spoilers (A thumbnail for a video) - SPOILERS below (even tho I do not know the context of it) - So its about Campaign 1 and its... Vax's ending (?), as I've said I don't know the context (at all), and it might be changed like some thing were in Season 3. It can't be that permanent given that he showed up IN Campaign 3 (I think he did anyways)

2025-03-02 09:47:05 +0000 UTCThe way I understand the twins' ,,relationship" with their father is this: He hates them for being half-elfs and wants NOTHING to do with them, they feel the same way towards him, just show it differently... Vax outright despises him (which was shown here clearly) and do not want to be assosiated with him until it is necessery (his ,,we're his childen" line), on the other hand Vex while aware of his treatment towards them is more ,,forgiving" towards him. (Shown in the flashback in episode 3, and stated by Osysa in episode 2)

Saundor was voiced by Sendhil Ramamurthy (most popularly known from Heroes). I have seen folks mistake other male voices for Matt Mercer on the show, which is a bit frustrating, cause they're doing hella good work.

2025-03-01 14:04:20 +0000 UTC1. Vex and Vax's father, Syldor Vessar, was voiced by Troy Baker, who's probably mostly known for his portrayal of Joel from The Last of Us. 2. Gnomes have a pretty long lifespan, up to 500 years, so it's not surprising that Pike's Great Great Grandpa is still kicking. 3. Taliesin/Percy gave Laura/Vex her titles during a live show and it was GLORIOUS! And though Syldor in the animated series was a prick the whole time, Matt made him proud to hear Vex have such an esteemed title. 4. Vex mentioned back in season 1 that their mother was killed by a dragon, which is why she's been obsessed studying them. 5. "If I could pull the blood of you from my veins and give it back, I would." is a quote she actually said to her father in the original campaign. Laura pulled that tragically beautiful line from her soul. 6. Matt revealed if Vex took Saundor's offer, he would have turned her into a part tree entity. She would have been a proxy for him and would have been more vulnerable to fire damage. 7. "Magical Green Elf Bro" will be back, don't worry. lol

2025-03-01 13:55:50 +0000 UTCIdk if it's a minor detail, per se (since quite a few people will pick up on it), but Syldor (the twins' dad) noticeably only starts cooperating with Vox Machina after Percy rattles off his name and title. It really drives home that Syldor cares more about his appearance in front of political equals than his own children ("Well then, Lord de Rolo III, what can Syngorn do for you?") Side note, but when I first watched this episode, I had to take a breather after he said "no appreciation for my /years/ of civility" like DUDE. NO. "Civility" should NOT be the word you use to describe the time you spent raising your own damn children!

This is how it went: I watched this episode, then later on came upon a clip about that ending scene where he was referred to by a different name, than (months later) when I decided to finally watch Campaign 2 (currently on episode 34) a video popped up on my recommended feed feachering that different name and a Campaign 2 character... So I kinda ,,know" who he is, but like ONLY the name and that ,,connection" between the two characters.
